Hmm…. My conclusion is opposite most allow intercaste marriage and a small minority even allow inter religious marriage among indian origin so that the culture is preserved. The first generation immigrants can be rigid but eventually 2nd generation gives way. As it happens in our cities.

The thing is that majority of the so called upper caste doesn't even know how caste system works so they knowingly or unknowingly do really casteist things. For instance, many savarna people very casually say that " chori chamari bhot bdh gyi h" but it is actually 'CHORI CHAKARI" . That's the level it is normalised upto that they don't even realise it is a casteist slur

बचपन में शाम को DD National डिबेट देखता था, वो भी अंग्रेजी में। समझ कुछ नहीं आता था, tv था कुछ तो देखना था। कभी कभी बच्चों वाला कार्यक्रम होता था, तब अच्छा लगता था। आज वो दिन याद आ गया, बहुत शालीनता थी डिबेट में। फिर 2019 का एक दिन आया tv प्रोग्राम देखना ही छोड़ दिया।
