For those who don't know, if you have a pan with oil in it that catches fire, NEVER pour water into the pan. The water will sink below the oil, then boil. This will send burning oil flying all over, likely setting more things on fire. If you have a pan fire, leave it on the stove, turn off the stove, and cover the pan with a lid. This should smother the fire and, leave the pan to cool down for a while before removing the lid, since oil that's too hot can self ignite if oxygen reaches it.

Also don't try to smother it with flour. Some people think baking soda can be substituted with flour but flour is highly flammable.

@@purelysmetalnightcore I've never heard of trying flour, but that's just a terrible idea. Flour, and other flammable powders, can literally explode when suspended in the air and exposed to flame. Historically, mills making flour blew up regularly, and even now the factories that make sugar blow up due to issues with that. Though it makes a fun party trick if you have an outdoor fire and throw a handful of flour or powdered sugar on it. It creates a rather nice fireball with minimal risk to you or thins around you.

I had an ex I was living with, there was a giant oil fire in the kitchen and I was trying to handle it the correct way. He decided he would try to get the pan to water...suffice it to say I practically kicked his legs out from under him before he could move it and slapped that pizza pan down on that fire right quick. I was so confused as to why he was even thinking of doing that because he had worked in kitchens before.

@@lucasbroome1048 Yes but if you pour flour into a fire, the fine particulates can just catch fire. As a fine dust it's flammable. When it's already caked onto foods or poured into a hot pan (NOT a fire) it's not.

If aliens tried to study humanity by fail videos there's a few misconceptions that'd popup: cakes are the heaviest food ever invented, all vehicles even unpowered ones are sentient and crave collision, water in any state applies increased gravity on whatever is in its vicinity, basic tools are intended to be used in the most complicated way possible, leashes make pets more dangerous instead of more controlled, and wearing opposite colored outfits in mass gatherings inspires spontaneous ineptitude.

Yeah, but like with any condition, you should learn to manage it. Not because (for some reason) you have to conform to society, but rather because in general, conditions are part of a bigger picture and nothing, in the history of man, has ever been good for us, letting them run on. That said, i empathize with you, given it's a newly discovered thing. I've Aphantasia (and Anauralia), until a few years ago, it was (basically) an unknown. Keep an eye out for publications on the topic; my father has the same, and when it gets extreme (or is extreme - and in his case, it got worse and worse with the years), you end up pretty bad. Yes, kids do understand if you need to be left alone for a while. they will give you space most of the time. At least mine did. I would tell my oldest when he was really young, like 4 years old. I need to go to sleep for a while. OK, he'll just sit there and play. I'll be in the living room. He'll be playing quietly for me to sleep.

7:10 It makes for a cool picture, but it's a really bad idea. Never turn your back on the ocean. My dad almost died getting swept into the ocean and drowned at a place like this trying to take a picture. He waited for a really big wave, and he got what he wanted a bit too much. Ruined a $3k camera, managed to grab onto a rock at the last second before being swept off the rocks into the ocean below where the average height of the waves was 26' that day. I had to drive him to the ER to get 26 stitches in his leg where he got thrown against jagged rocks. The SD card on the camera was still readable, so we looked at the picture he got afterward. There was one of a wall of white spray that blots out literally everything else, and another of part of my dad's elbow and the sun above, through about 3' of water that came over the tops of the rocks.

Normal people, stop, usually, when their cars start making the gods awful noise of a raw rim on pavement. Abnormal people show up a the shop and say "look, my tire's a bit flat" - with the mechanic looking at the D shaped, consumed brake rotor, seized in place as the bearings welded themselves in place from the extreme heat.

If I had to judge, I think being a man is more like a 0.8 or 0.9 multiplier of pain compared to women, generally speaking ofc. NOT a damn 0.3 or less ._. I'd like to guess that a number of those car delivery accidents are due to a) trainee or b) because owner of a car rented a trailer/flatbed and they have no idea what they're doing. Of course it's possible that people just suck at their jobs or are drunk or high while working. :X
