In the first instalment of our Barry Ferguson series, we sit down with one of Rangers' most decorated players to talk through what has been a rollercoaster career.
Barry talks Si through his early days at the club and how a tough but fair education from the likes of John Brown, Gazza and Laudrup influenced his strong mentality when going on to play for the Rangers first team.
He also discusses the big moments that occurred during a period which saw him become one of the top players in the country and handed the captaincy as a young man in a dressing room full of experienced internationals.

Respect to Barry, I’m a Celtic man but I could listen to Barry chat for ages. Fair, honest and really genuine fella as well as a brilliant talent in his day for his club and country.

I can remember rangers vs B. Munich at Ibrox and Barry Ferguson bossing the middle, that’s how good he was back in the day world class.

Why is the comment section of these video the only place you see any sort of agreement between rangers and celtic fans regardless off the guest. Good stuff, long may it continue.

although he was a rangers man thru and thru always didn't mind him.like Broony he's a player you'd rather have in your team than against you

The common theme that runs through these interviews seems to be the hard work and sacrifice put into achieving their goal (No pun intended). A lesson to all. Love these interviews.

Was a talented player....and has some interesting/honest views on the game. Gers and Scotland miss him! Surely Rangers should've appointed him in some sort of senior capacity.

You can tell how nervous SI is here for this interview. Even as a Celtic man I can see he he looked up to Fergie because he’s slightly shy at the start.

It's funny how listening to these guys talk about their lives, and careers, totally changes a lot of opinions, mine included . This fella was like a red rag to a bull .. most of us Celtic fans despised him 🙄 and as Barry Ferguson says, while he was playing against Neil Lennon, he hated him, for those 90 minutes, on the park ⚽️ I enjoyed listening to that, an never thought I'd say this, but i like Barry Ferguson, he seems like a lovely man 💚☘💚☘ xx

Barry talks sense about youth football. I remember guys who were brilliant players and you knew they would move on to big clubs. But they never all because of their height. Look at Messi iniesta and xavi.
