In 2019, a good friend of mine who happened to be the production assistant of iDocu shows interest in teaching. Later he became as the lone teacher of Digaynon Integrated School in Sitio Danawan, Brgy. Manurigao, Davao de Oro.
As a result of his participation in making documentaries, because he was part of Isyu Mindanao (my GMA TV Program) where he worked as production assistant and a researcher. When I left GMA Network, we still worked together to make the documentaries.
Almost 3 years ago. he joined me in Danawan for a production. There were about five school buildings that were being made in Davao de Oro. I also made a documentary about it which was titled “LISO”. When the school building was into completion. We have learned that there was no school teacher yet.
I learned that my former production assistant was a LET passer, meaning he passed the Teacher’s Board Exam. So I presented him to the Department of Education Division of Davao de Oro I told them, I have a friend, the production assistant we have now is a LET Passer. Why not hire him since he is willing to be assigned in rural areas, in the highlands like this.
Fast forward, Joeramil Vito agreed and became their teacher. Now almost three years had passed. He reported something to me concerning Sitio Danawan which to me is of course serious, right?. This is where they pass the Manurigao river, I mean Malumagpak river, because of Malumagpak falls at the upper portion, rocks piled up below. Then they have to cross it that is dangerous for our young ones, and the residents of Sitio Binantal and Sitio Danawan.
Although we passed through it before, we did not notice it because we were so focused in making a documentary or making news about such concerns. Now he really felt the need, so he insisted, or he presented to us such concern. And for us, it is worthy that we take another look at this passage, the Malumagpak river
