+Luna Noon :) Me too. I became a fan of hers, back from her zero 7 days [band]. Pageant of the bizarre was one of my favourite songs at that time, in which she was the lead vocalist. She is from my state, which made her more special. When her earlier CD's came out, i encouraged my friends to get into her, but they instantly dismissed her music, calling it weird (because she was unknown, people didn't care to give her a chance). I'm so glad she has a big name for herself now, and has found the success that she deserves.

+inquizative44 I more think, she will be one of the artist starting a new era of art. Away from this simple party music and nacked boobs art. -_-
@stormjt35448 жыл бұрын
+inquizative44 I 100 percent agree. I actually hadn't heard of her due to not keeping up on current music because most of it being garbage. I first saw her on Saturday Night Live when it was hosted by Donald Trump. Then I researched her. Started listening to some of her previous songs like Titanium and Chandelier. I became hooked and she is my new favorite performer. Bought all her previous CD's and pre-ordered her new release. She is also such a nice humble person and has been through her share of struggles. And that comes out in her songwriting for very powerful lyrics.

There are countless songs that have tried to capture the emotions that go through a person's heart after they've lost someone that they loved, but none have captured them nearly as well as Sia's Heart of the Needle. Here, Sia manages to finally connect with the listener in a way that hasn't been done before, exploring exactly how and why the pain of losing someone makes us never want to let go. We want to steal as much time with them as possible, even though we aware that stealing that time would be stealing it through they eye of the needle, a futile task indeed. But we aren't ready, so we try anyway. Not only do we not want to let the terror that is the realization they are gone in, we know that even if we did, we would always have the baggage they have left us, that we will carry around. We try to fake happiness through the intense, burning pain of loss that we are barely managing to cope with. Beyond the gut-wrenching lyrics is Sia's voice itself. Cracking with passion and defeat just before it soars with unbridled optimism. Even without words behind them, her voice captures sadness, and at times, unbearable pain as she seemingly struggles to find the strength to carry on through the song. And yet she does, beautifully no less. To put it simply, Sia, The Eye of the Needle is one of the greatest tragic songs ever written, and the world owes you a debt of gratitude.

I took the video as a couple with a communication problem trying to argue with each other in their own language, which is different from each other. She starts broken, but gets up as he comes back to her. They "talk." She spins in circles as he makes every beat he makes louder and harder. In the end, they stop trying to be the same and make their differences work and they both flourish.

I think its a lil bit childish to presume that ''melody uknown'' directly means different languages, if by language you mean the spoken language. I think it means more like unknown moods and the things u say under the particular moods, and it doesnt match with your partners emotional intelligence or feelings, so it becomes unknown or in this case misunderstooded. But the rest of it sounds bout right. Greetings from Finland its a dope song.

Lyrics Take me down I'm feeling now And if I move on I admit you're gone And I ain't ready and I'll hold steady Yeah, I'll hold you in my arms, in my arms, in my arms And you're locked inside my heart And your melody's an art And I won't let the terror in I'm stealing time through the eye of the needle Step and repeat Tears fall to the beat Smile through the pain Feel the acid rain And I ain't ready but I'll hold steady Yeah, I'll hold you in my arms, in my arms, in my arms And you're locked inside my heart And your melody's an art And I won't let the terror in I'm stealing time through the eye of the needle My bag's heavy, been filled by me They weigh me down, carry them 'round It's all mine, all mine I am blinded by the eye of the needle And you're locked inside my heart And your melody's an art And I won't let the terror in I'm stealing time through the eye of the needle Eye of the needle, oh Oh-oh You're locked inside my heart And your melody's an art And I won't let the terror in I'm stealing time through the eye of the needle Oh-oh Oh-oh

I love all of Sia's songs but this.....pulls all of my emotions. Makes my eyes burst with tears. I do hope someday I'll find love. Til then, I'll smile through the pain.
