I will say, this was the best trip I've had. This place is worth every bit of the hype. It's not the place per se, although it is undeniably beautiful, but the energy. It's the people. It's the carefreeness of everyone that somehow permits you to be your own carefree as well.
Whether you're looking for silence or the energy of a crowd of people, you will find it here. The locals are kind and warm. There's this sense of safety wherever you go. Even the kids greet you with their big innocent smiles. The sunsets and sunrises are *chef's kiss*.
Of course, the highlight for me and JC was the surf. If you're going to Siargao, please don't leave without trying surfing. I must say I wasn't keen on trying surfing, but once we did, thank God. I honestly think our trip wouldn't have been nearly as special had we missed out on surfing.
