If you look at the eyes, the ones that have the blue eyes are Siberian. But also, they can’t have brown. It is confusing if you don’t know what to look for in the eyes.

We got 3 Alaskan huskies, a 5 yr old and 2 brothers almost 2 yr old all from the same breeder mind you the 5yr old has different mother and father than the 2 2yr old's but we do know the history of the dogs parents, the 5 yr old has never barked, growled or showed his teeth since we've had him but he will howl even though it takes for him to howl and his parents had basically the same temperament has him calm loving dogs.......now on to the 2 brothers who are 2 totally different dogs all to together one is a runner who would run a 1000 laps around the house a day and loves to be outdoors all he can, he is also a barker and a howler and a talker, now on to his brother who will go outside and play and run for a little bit then its back to the door wanting to come in and snuggle up to someone and he's like the 5yr old don't bark or howl but he is a talker like his brother and there's nothing funnier than listening to to dogs talk to each other.....hahaha......now on to the brothers parents.....there father was a barker and a runner while there mother was a calm loving dog yet she was the howler so can you see what traits the 2 dogs picked up from there parents....so what im trying to say after i just got done writing a novel...hahahaha..........what was the temperament of the daughters father like maybe she picked it up from him

Alaskan huskies are Siberian mixed with European dogs and sometimes wolves, they can be very different to Siberians. Mine was an abuse case, lived outside for 5 years and didn't bark at first, wasn't house trained or coordinated. He's not friendly but a fantastic guard dog, doesn't try to escape or run away and stays close. He barks, howls on command and communicates well to let me know what he wants. I have to keep him away from people and other dogs, he doesn't back down and reactive.

our neighbor has one just like that. it even has a wolf like posture and stalks approaches its opponents like a wolf in small steps while growling. its a highly aggressive watch dog. mine arent watch dogs whatsoever lol

just because they came from Siberia and northern Asia that has nothing to do with it.....yes Siberian huskies might be capable of long distance running but it would take you 2 to 3 times longer to train them as long distance runners as the Alaskan husky was basically bred to be long distance runners right out of the gate

Alaskan Husky is different from Siberian Husky. Alaskan huskies are not recognized by the AKC

Our Alaskan is a good guard dog. Doesn't have the bad Siberian traits.

I agree but Alaskan huskies probably vary being as they are a mix of European dogs for speed and sometimes wolves. My Alaskan has a few Siberian traits but a great guard dog and doesn't escape or run away.

Robert Sørlie only uses Alaskan Huskies for the Iditarod, Finnmark etc. They are far superior to Siberian
