Mexico deserves so much justice, or maybe justice has evolved, but Mexico is a country that people keep dunking their hands into and keep taking whatever they can from it, be it politicians or normal people. All of Mexico and south of it's belt are free for grabs in many ways, and yet we are the ones who send drugs, when the north trades them for guns.

I think the saddest part about this ending isn't that fact that after all the pain and suffering and death thats gone on, we come to a world that looks exactly the same as the one we left. But worse than that, its that these people have become so accustomed to the violence around them, they barely have any reaction. Its just another aspect of their life, that at any moment they or someone they love will be violently ripped from their lives forever. When we see Silvio's son, hes not crying at the foot of his fathers bed. He isn't saying a prayer, or remembering the time he had with him. He just somberly stands beside his bed, we can't even tell what he's feeling or if he's feeling, as though this isn't the first time he's experienced the death of someone close to him. He stands in the light of the window for a few seconds before moving into the darkness. He doesn't even seem to take time off from school. His mother has the same muted reactions. And when they hear the gunshots, they don't run away, they just stop to make sure the bullets aren't coming their way, and they go back to what they're doing. This is the order that Matt's whole operation is working closer to achieving.

One of the most heartbreaking things in this scene, to me at least, was after the initial gunshots ring out and the camera cuts to the mother, you can see what looked like a remnants of a smile on her face right before the look of concern. Because of her surroundings she can’t ever have peace and will always be reminded of her husband in the worst of ways. A truly hard scene to watch

Difference between Sicario and Day Of Soldado: Sicario - is all about the fact that in the morally grey, political turmoil conflict between the US-Mexican border is ultimately hurting the regular innocent human beings who can't have a day of peace, despite whoever is right or the winner, innocent people suffer. Day Of Soldado - Yo guys, killing mexicans is fun! And no this film is not racist, because we have one "good" mexican MC (who killed a child in the previous film) who is taking care of this innocent mexican girl, and the rest mexicans bad. Shoot! Shoot! Bang! Bang! Its fun y'all! Look at Del toro throw a bomb in the car without looking! Isn't he a badass (he literally killed a child in the previous film). It's fun y'all!

I love how you just conflate all Mexicans with cartels, gang members and corrupt cops, as if it's not a good thing to want them to die. Are you really trying to protect them bruh? Really doesn't make you seem like some virtual signaling liberal oblivious to how stupid and racist his point actually is. Hey tell me when you watch Django unchained did you feel like that movie was also being racist toward white people? Did you think the message was "killing white people is fun, but it's okay we have this one white guy who's a good person so it's not racist"? People like you are the reason we can't actually address the problems affecting mexico or the rest of south america, or literally any racial group, because doing so would be too wacist, amirite? Yeah the movie is fun, and I'm not gonna pretend otherwise. Cry about it
