After securing a Billboard Number 1 single as an unsigned band - even before the release of their debut album, LA's Dirty Honey have enjoyed the kind of career start most bands could only dream of.
When I'm Gone - taken from the group's debut self-titled EP - climbed to the Mainstream Rock chart top spot back in October, and now the classic rockers turn their sights to their first full-length.
We've yet to hear much of the album - which is due out later this year - but guitarist John Notto joins us today to offer a glimpse, taking you through a new riff stomper entitled Gypsy.

Dirty Honey is the real deal. Saw them in Raleigh Tuesday night. Fantastic rock and roll band. I love the straight up rock and roll sound. We need more of this.

Ever heard of a band called Montrose John. Some of your riffs really remind me of Montrose. Montrose were superb, Ronnie Montrose and Sammy Hagar. You guys are a class act too! Thanks for showing me that song.

Would be great if you could do these for every song. You could get them all done on a day probably and whilst I can learn the songs by ear and some trial and error learning from the writer is the best way to:) loving your work and the band.

Ha! Yes he does look like a young Ozzy however he plays like Jimmy Page! Just saw these guys last night in Schenectady in an incredibly intimate setting and they were fantastic! Too can tell he has studied Jimmy in the way he moves and plays. And the sound of the riffs and lead solos from that Les Paul he puts out were fantastic!

I am waiting for some guitarist to play the 70's hit from UFO's First record "Rock Bottom" Next video give it a try. Just use a Humbucker style guitar.

@@REZNAP they do it for two reasons usually. One, so you're not blasting out the audience, and two, so the sound doesn't bleed into the vocal mics.
