I’ve worked for the courts. For the most part, the courts in Canada are lenient to the point of ridiculousness. Vote correctly.

May car is stolen at a gun point, and my wife's car is stolen in the middle of the night. We managed to track the vehicle and identify the thieves, but police refused to press charges and told us to get the insurance money.

This country is truly soft on crime and it shows. We need to be much tougher on the smaller things too like financial scams, theft, assault, and even traffic violations that put others at risk.
