Exactly, that seems to be the whole point. My name is Sandra and I am living in Florida and I watched this movie as a young girl, even though this is a horror movie. Along with the Lost Boys; there is nothing like these two movies. They just seem to resonate. I call it Dark but Delightful. When I grew up and moved out into the world, I found it a very seedy place to be, especially for people who were weak or innocent or sick or those without. It was'nt until I met the one that I was looking for, that I had been looking for my whole life. When that happened, everything turned around. I already believed in God, but was always running from Him. I have had a great life, but unusually extremely difficult. When I had given my life to God, He took all of that away, in exchange for everything good; peace, joy, love, serenity, tranquility, etc. That is the way, through Christ; He is available to all people, everywhere, and at all times. Fell in love with it as young'un, had a passion of synthesizers and composing too so I made tons of similar tracks from this. Met a woman in Italy who loved the movie as much as I did - the foundation of an 8y long-dist relationship, this movie lol.

I remember one summer when this came out taped it. When I came home from horseback riding, I put this movie on every night all summer long. I absolutely loved this song. I bought the soundtrack from both movies, because the first one did not have it and second movie did not have this version....well not the singing. I loved it when he told Amie to kill them Amie....bo.....th of them. What a movie.

@@julianborges1569 Two wasn't as good. It had Ragsdale and McDowell, but none of the rest of the original cast. The guy who played Evil Ed asked for too much money, then went on to "success" in gay porn. Pt. 2 is set with a female master, with a henchman, Brian Thompson, who you may recognise from other horror and sci-fi movies. It had none of the seduction of the original.

Chris Sarandon is the absolute sexiest vampire ever 🥰 "Come to me" is the most beautiful and sensual soundtrack I have ever heard 😍 Instrumental 1+2 are my favorites, also the version with Deborah Holland is fantastic 🤩 Only Brad Fiedel should stick to composing, his singing voice is terrible 😱 Thanks for the upload! 💋

The first iteration is the best one imo. Just the way the music completely draws in the listener with it's seductive yet sinister musical tones makes this song stand out to me.

This is the perfect background song for a vampire....captures the mystery..the intensity if emotions the depth of the passion they feel...don't believe me? Look at the lifestylers walking down the street in New Orleans.... regular people don't walk that way or if they glance your way thier eyes don't seem to have weight....

Regular people also don't think they "feed" on life force or blood. So there's that... It should be pointed out that if vampires DID exist, they wouldn't be ANYTHING like what pop culture has turned them into. If the ancient myths were anything to go by, there was nothing sexy, intense, or romantic about such creatures. They were corpses or demons feeding on humans. If you saw one in action, you wouldn't swoon; you'd run screaming.

Interesting, nice that all four versions are included! The version sung by Deborah Holland (starts at 9:36) has an extra verse (or coda) which fits well with the theme: "You can wait, your whole life, for the sun to rise. When it finally comes up, its gonna hurt your eyes. I can show you the world, in a different light...."

I really think they need to do a 3rd film, now that Charlie has grown up. AND with the amazing SFX we have nowadays, it could be fantastic!!!! Just think of the scary’est Vampire & Werewolf they could do ...... None of that trash they did with Colin Pharrell, but good OLD SCHOOL makeup!!!
