It’s very interesting to see the comments for how different industry fans perceive Siddharth. Seems Tamil industry has the lowest opinion of his work… although I’ve seen Kavia Thalivan, Enakkul Uravan, and Jil Jung Juck and felt these were praiseworthy performances. Telugu fans will always have a place in their heart for Sid because of NVNV, and Bommarillu - we also consider him to be one of our best pure actors. Not many people talk about him in Hindi still but he’s still known for his acting craft there from RDB. One man, many different opinions. But this interview proved that he doesn’t care what you think of him, he’ll keep on trying something in cinema. Props Sid!

While I really appreciate how articulate and flawless he was about his thoughts, somehow felt it was like a narcissist talking aloud to hide the inferiority complex. The entire discussion was all about how I am blessed, lucky, what an autobiography I will have etc. Staying grounded is not everyone’s forte which is what separates stars from legends

I think performers need to have a little bit of narcissism to push themselves forward and pick themselves up when people push them down.

We seem to overly value being “modest” or “down to earth” as a culture. I find it refreshing to hear someone being confident in their skin and being self-aware.

Sidharth speaks sense always but I really wish for him that he speaks free of the fear of judgement, needing no external validation or a compulsion to sound a certain way...so many disclaimers,fears,anxiety, filtered framing.... being more organic and flowing naturally is best

Man this guy is definitely underrated. His performances were brilliant in jigarthanda, kaviya thalaivan, navarasa and aval. Till date aval is the best horror movie i have seen in indian cinema. He has earned a name in tamil, telugu and hindi which is not easy. Fun fact is all the actors from the boyz movie have become great names except manikandan. Admire his guts to co-produce most of his films. Thanks baddy for this interview.

I find it very laughable that while saying he doesn't care about what people think of him, unintentionally he is constantly trying to prove to Baddy that he is a "thinking" and "serious" actor trying to win him over while telling Baddy that he would only understand it if Baddy was more wiser and older. Constantly trying to place himself and Baddy within same group/colleagues like shows that he really respects Baddy and wants the same reciprocation. His answers to some of the questions are so long winded coming across as a try hard. i used to love him 10 years ago, Now, i just find him extremely self obsessed and having a holier than thou attitude without any matching work to warrant the attitude for.

If you say we define our own success, then to say to sleep well is the greatest success or boon is contradictory. We still live in a world full of prejudice where money is given the utmost priority. So to say power and money don’t play a role in success is a slap in the faces of those struggling.

I only wish Siddharth has had a better eye for opportunities that could’ve brought his maximum potential into the limelight. His performances in Jigarthanda, Enakul Oruvan, and Jil Jung Juk-did showcase what he has in store as a performer. Sadly, his abysmal decisions & choice of films have always made people to overlook his ability as an actor. I hope he bounces back soon with some memorable performances!
@12sandy1994
@12sandy1994 Жыл бұрын
I think what he is trying to say is, he doesn't want limelight, he doesn't want to be a popular actor. He wants to do what he likes given the circumstances, and it looks like he is very happy with the way his life has shaped, and there are few people who are happy and grateful for who they are today, he is one of them.
@deexith9559
@deexith9559 Жыл бұрын
@@12sandy1994 I get that. His perception about acting and fame really awed me, because his point about directors deserving the audience’s applause more than the actors is fascinating, to hear from an actor himself. I personally admire his veracity for addressing how his decisions are made at a given moment from what he finds engaging to be a part of. I hope he finds the best in his career moving forward, and I appreciate his work ethic.

Siddharth seems to know many fancy words, has been thinking about many things, doesn’t seem to care what people think… all good things. But the one thing he does not have is grace. He doesn’t have one ounce of grace which is why he is making it sound like he’s made it all by himself, when we know that in any sphere of life, that’s just not possible.

When Siddharth gave interview to Film Companion South a few days back,...he was so different. But now with BR,...he's like in a different zone. What's up??? Do actors change their attitude depending on who's interviewing them??? Not trying to be mean or anything,...but this was really quite surprising for me,...given that it's Siddharth, who always gives an impression of being the most intelligent, yet a humble guy. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks!
@deexith9559
@deexith9559 Жыл бұрын
Most of the times, the interviewees always tend to feel more comfortable and zealous when it comes to interacting with Baddy. Though it does backfire sometimes, like that one interview of TK where their energy didn’t quite match; whereas Sudhir Srinivasan had a highly thought provoking conversation with him. So I think it’s the comfort space they share allows them to be in a different zone.

articulate, "intelligent" people rarely make for great actors (they are flat, non-charismatic, dull, sterile) on screen. whereas fantastic actors on screen may or may not be articulate off screen. film history is replete with examples. rare exceptions: amitabh bachchan, mammootty, anil kapoor (who are both!)

An interesting interview. BR's style normally gets the interviewee to open up., However, this time, I thought, that BR could have phrased the question in a way to get shorter answers. Siddarth is precociously talented and very well-intentioned. With the right interventions, this interview could have been better. Siddarth has never been a part of the herd and probably will never be. Hoping and wishing the very best of Siddarth's work in the times to come.

When we have a family and kids unfortunately we all have to work hard, we cannot sleep the way we want as we have kids and responsibilities. Ofcourse we have our 8 hours sleep, work hard and enjoy our life at the same time. Something is not right about him..overall I feel he is little ignorant, ego and rude too, sorry😡
