I just saw a Sharekhan video on candlestick analysis a couple of days back. And then realized after seeing your video that shooting stars do not work in an uptrend. And also hammers do not work in a downtrend. There is a difference between book knowledge and practical knowledge. I also noticed these trends but then felt that candlesticks do not work - but you clarified this point. I believe that book knowledge needs to be taken with a pinch of salt and also this knowledge also needs to be back-tested before you actually trade on the same.
