For the price, these have a higher risk than standard vending machines. Even if you had the money, LOCATION is a huge factor. Easier said than done.

I do HVAC R & when I was 20 I learned all about ice machines, if any ice maker isn't properly maintained it is some off the most nasty shit on earth & that's 90% of ice machines. Your favorite restaurant, fast food joint etc. Their ice maker prolly never gets cleaned unless they have a tech like me up their ass scooping handfuls of mold & lime scale out of the machines to show them they need to be cleaned
@user-kg7zr3yl3n2 жыл бұрын
how much does it cost for it to be mantained ?
@jayfuckinbird92512 жыл бұрын
@@user-kg7zr3yl3n it all depends. I've seen some 8 years old that never been cleaned & have to be completely taken apart sometimes parts need to be replaced at that point too because no matter how hard you try you won't get it properly cleaned & sanitized. I've charged upwards of $1,000.00 just for a cleaning but we really genuinely clean & sanitize it. Then we wait for the machine to make about 5-10 sheets of ice & dump hot water to get rid of all the ice after cleaning & sanitizing
@jayfuckinbird92512 жыл бұрын
If you buy it brand new & have it scrubbed once a year then also have a clean & sanitize cycle ran through it once a year it will stay relatively clean & parts will last longer.
@jayfuckinbird92512 жыл бұрын

I can get 50-70 vending machines for that and if I average only $100/mo per im waaaaaay ahead of 3k annnnnnd I’ve got machines that I can always liquidate. This water / ice machines is a money trap if you don’t have cash to float the cost and set up.

Practically free? My electric bill at 1 machine has been as high as 1100! , 600 rent, water 200.... the only way to make money in the ice biz is with high volume discount pricing.... thats why twice the ice machines are so big, they hold 6000# of ice and make at minimum 4200# a day and yes they still get sold out at times. Small investments = small returns. Thats just business basics.
