This is a “Sides” brand multipurpose spreader. We were shopping for used tow behind lime spreader and came upon these spreaders on the internet. After lots of reading and then calling them, I made the purchase. This is not a full review, just my initial “burn-in” and learning process. After I have used it for a while, I will give a more complete review, including any shortcomings.
Break Heart Orchard is a small farm that we are carving out of previously forested land.

Thanks for sharing the video on the spreader it’s one heck of a spreader for sure. Sad it was damaged during shipping but it works great. Hope you got more videos on the spreader.

I'm liking that spreader.. I'm in the market for one as I type.. I feel for yah if getting a little poo on your arm is an issue. 🤣😎👍

TheDirtyyoungman1 im glad you got some value out of the video. I often feel like I am making large purchasing decisions with less independent review than I want. A lot of the “reviews” of products just parrot the sales literature. As for the manure on my arm, I’ve had the fresh stuff all over my boots and trousers before, i know it wont kill me but I’ve never woken up in the morning and said “ man, i cant wait to get some poop on me”. I hope you come back and check out some of the other things we are doing at Break Heart Orchard. And please, if you do purchase one, come back after you have had a chance to use it and leave some feedback. Let me know if there is some aspect of the spreader that I should have mentioned or if you disagree with me on any part of it. It will only help me make better videos.

I don’t know how cost effective it would be, but look into horse manure. It’s a lot higher in nitrogen. It’s amazing for fruits and vegetables.

Bryan Kerr we have a source for horse manure but it requires us to pick it up ourselves. We can get the conditioned cow manure delivered for a very reasonable price. In the future, we will probably try the horse manure but time has been tight.

Is the spreader still holding up? Any regrets? It looks like you had to make several runs in your cleared field to refill the spreader, we’re you were just using a high broadcast rate or would you say that the capacity size is lacking? Thanks so much

Capacity is pretty substantial. It is still in very good shape. I have no regrets. The fields have been doing. Very well
