Sidestore was exactly what I needed. The ability to refresh the apps after 7 days WITHOUT computer or installing IPAs with the VPN is such a genius idea. now I can just relax and do my stuff with just a stable connection and the files. thank you very much for this tutorial, we owe you big time.

then it will expire and you will not be able to open that app or use it. you will lose all the data from that app. and you will have to reinstall it

yes. it's a restrictions from apple. nothing can be done. unless you are in iOS 15.6 to 16.1.2

see. apple ID is required to sign apps if you are using a computer. there two methods where you do not require apple ID are Flekstore and signulous

Ok, Sidestore is downloaded and I got one ipa to work, but since I had ALTserver previously, that counts as 1 of my 3, and Sidetore counts as the last one, is there a way to remove ALTserver without redownloading it? It wont let me have sidestore and ALT at the same time.

you are correct. you can toggle it on when refreshing and then toggle it off. if you want apps to automatically refresh. then just keep it turned on at all times

i saw 7 app ids remaining, and after each refresh, it went down one. what happen if we use all of the refresh? and what happen if we forgot to refresh for 1 week?

it does not deduct after refresh. every application got one ID or more. so it will get deducted. but you could sideload only 3 apps too

you will not get it by default. first you have to Sideload Any ipa file. then only the option will appear in PRIVACY AND SECURITY in SETTINGS

It took an embarrassingly long time to figure out how to download this dumbass app. I literally spent a whole day figuring out the iTunes thing. can you refresh the apps on altstore with your computer switched off and not connected to same wifi? I guess no. sidestore can refresh apps even if the computer is turned off

Sidestore uses altstore fronted yes but we did lots of stuff in backend to do all we can on-device. We will also transition to a rewrite as the altstore core functionality of the app is buggy making things harder to develop for. Comes with a new ui. Also Riley approved of sidestore being an alternative. App also comes with more features than AppStore like iPad display support and the patreon features that were based on, Apple developer teams (organization and enterprise accounts), self maintained list off developer disk images (was more important before iOS 17). There’s more toggles currently like keep display on while refresh or installs. That’s all beside sidelaoding which uses a WireGuard vpn from your device it creates and makes local connection to sidestore app to talk with your idevice. There’s many more developer quality of life fixes on the code to actually make some sense from it and actually able to build it.

Make sure you don’t have an alternate DNS set up in your Wi-Fi and WireGuard configuration. If you know the DNS IP address works, then try removing it from your Wi-Fi configuration and adding it into the WireGuard config under DNS.

reboot and reinstall. make sure you only disconnect your device from computer after launching sidestore the first time
