I love this piece! The colors and the bezel! However, when you do a tutorial, please be mindful of staying in front of the camera! It was much more helpful when you figured out when you were off camera. Also, please tell your viewers what supplies you are using! Thank you!! Very beautiful design and I am going to start one in about 15 minutes!!

@@Sidoniasbeadedjewelry you are sooo talented with your designs and colors. I’ve noticed most bead designers on KZfaq just don’t have the gift of that 3 dimensional aspect that you so tastefully bring to play. Their work looks flat- yours is sumptuous along with your use of rich colors and the crystals you bring into most all pieces- thank you so much for all your inspiration- I just had to tell you these things and I’m so happy that I got to! 🤩😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This color combination is gorgeous. I know you said 'it was all I had' but I think it is beautiful. And thank you SO much for doing this. Not many people share what they know without making money, and you do it for free and I admire you for it. And PS: I LOVE the shape of your needle! Mine look like that all the time and I'm glad I'm not the only one ;D
@Sidoniasbeadedjewelry10 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I love the color combination too, even if I choose them out of what I had at that moment. It was a good thing not having other colors :-). All my needles look like this one! :-D

Sidonia's handmade jewelry Dear Sidonia, could you tell me where you get the bend, curved beading needles? I though your needle was accidentally bend, but after watching your tutorial I realise it is supposed to be that way. Where have you bought it? Thank you so much, and keep your tutorials coming!!!

I do so love this design. I've had wonderful luck with your beaded bezels; however, on this one, I have also had mine turn out too large, and I definitely used the Miyuki beads since I've learned that the Tohos are too large. I even used 2.5mm bicones down the sides. I'm going to have to dismantle the bezel and start over and eliminate a unit down the sides of the bezel. I don't know what I did wrong here, but I will redo it with the modification and see how that goes. Again, thank you for the beautiful designs. Keep up the good work.

Thank you Sidonia for your time and patience. Spent the afternoon doing this to find it too long, so in reply to Tanquerel Nathalie, 6 sets of 3mm will be enough. I don t really know why this happens but 6 worked out better for me. Thanks again Sidonia for your beautiful designs.
@Sidoniasbeadedjewelry10 жыл бұрын
I think it happens because you are not using Miyuki seed beads, but maybe Tohos? Tohos or other brands of seed beads are a little bit bigger than the Miyukis.
@jdloveaffair8 жыл бұрын
+Sidonia's handmade jewelry I think that is my problem. I tried this twice and both times the cabochon swims in the setting. Do you use the miyuki round or delica? I think the answer is round but I wanted to be sure.

This is really beautiful but I am having 2 issues. 1) it swims in the setting and 2) it doesn't lie flat. I read some of the comments and saw a reply you posted that it might be because we are using toho's instead of miyuki. I bet that is the issue and I have ordered some 15/0 beads. I just love this piece!!! Thank you so much for the tutorial!!!
@Sidoniasbeadedjewelry8 жыл бұрын
+RI Beastie Yes, that is the reason: Tohos are "fattier". :-)
@Joy-to-the-world3088 жыл бұрын
+RI Beastie , yes, try it using 15/0 miyuki rounds. If that still doesn't work, try using only 6 - 3mm bicones on each side. This is what I had to do because I used 3mm preciosa, had no swarovski in the color I needed. Hope this helps.

Well, I have made it twice and both times the cabochon swims inside the Bessel. I am using Miyuki 15/0 seed beads! I am very disappointed I have spent hours on this. O well I guess I’ll move on to another project. Just thought you would like to know that there are a few of us with the same problem.
@Sidoniasbeadedjewelry6 жыл бұрын
Hi Cindy, can you tell me exactly what color Miyuki are you using (the color code would be also helpful)? I might be able to help.
@cindyb83026 жыл бұрын
Sidonia's Handmade Jewelry I am using duracoat galvanized gold sb 150. That’s all I have to go on. I think the # might be longer, but this is what I have written down.
@Sidoniasbeadedjewelry6 жыл бұрын
Hi Cindy, yes, that is the problem. There are coatings/colors that are thicker then others, thus making the beads bigger than others. Try to take out one unit per side and see how it works - others did that and they say it worked.

Sorry to disturb, but I tried twice and the result is the same I'm afraid to constat that it is too large ??? Personaly I don't like when the cabochon moves inside the sertissage. The second time I tried just to put 2 instead of 3 on the back but it moves again..... I'll try my last time for 6 instead of 7 3mm bicones and I'll come back to you to coment my new experiment.... Thanks a lot for your tutorial I love it !!! and I want to sucess !! :))

Beautiful technique but my only suggestion is to keep the video centered on your hands it kind of goes off camera so it's hard to follow.. Also would love a printed version I don't have the ability to follow in my workroom .. a printed version would be neat. Thanks so much for the beautiful idea.
