Beading tutorial - necklace made using Miyuki Tilas and seed beads, Czech fire polished beads.

Materials used for the the necklace with bronze tilas:
5mm Tila Miyuki Matte Metallic Bronze TL2006;
3mm garnet fire polished beads;
4mm garnet (8) and metallic bronze (1) fire polished beads;
10x7mm Siam fire polished drop;
15/0 and 11/0 Miyuki seedbeads, matte bronze, code 2006;
Size 0,15mm Smoke Fireline;
Size 10 or 12 needle.

I'm thoroughly engrossed in watching you make this necklace. It's lovely. I've just recently considered an attempt at beading and will probably try some bracelets first. However, just watching you and hearing your gentle tone makes me feel like this is totally something I could do. Thanks

I enjoy all you videos, I made this necklace with a 3mm round bead, but it did not work very well. I thought I could fix it, but I am going to have to buy the fire polished beads. The tila would not fit close to make the necklace lay right. Thank you for all your designs. Lovely.

Thank you! :) Unfortunatly I bought the fire polished beads in a shop a while ago and there were non codes or names for the beads. I do believe that the 3mm are color fuchsia and the 4mm is color pink. Sorry for not being of more help. The other beads are: 10x7mm Siam fire polished drop; 15/0 Miyuki seed beads - code 0134 FR; 5mm Miyuki Tila beads Matte Black AB - code TL401FR Have a nice Sunday, Sidonia

Beautiful necklace...I did make it awhile ago but can't wear it, wondered what I did wrong..it doesn't lay right, it twist all up when I put it on. I made it when I was just starting out and maybe I used the wrong thread, I don't know. Has anyone had this problem and if you read this Sidonia, could you please let me know what you think happened? Thank you for the tutorial for this beautiful necklace. The question I have for you is what is the size in pound (lb) of the Fireline? I am using 6 lb but every time I pick it up it twists and then I have to rearrange the Tilas.

Hi, I'm also using size 6lb in this video. Try to keep the piece down on your work surface when pulling the thread, it might help avoid the thread twisting.

Thank you, Kathleen. The thread is called Fireline and mine is size B (4lb). The needle is a John James and is a size 12.

Hi, Ankita and thank you! The thread name is Fireline, but I'm not sure if it's also the brand... :-) There are at least two manufacturers that produce it: Beadsmith and Bercley. Pamela Koenig, I'm making it now and noticed the tiles kept turning also, so I solved that problem by adding a few seed beads along the outside edges. That seemed to work.
