I love these cars so much

I learned to drive in a sierra many years ago, it had an uprated air filter, exhaust (full system) and also sports cams which gave it that bit more go, it was a fun car to learn to drive in and being rear wheel drive also gave a bit of fun from being tail happy too!

excellent work, 2wd cossie is wicked, i run a mk2 golf with t3 turbo on megasquirt, not many people have done cosworth megasquirt, nice one

The (old) Taurus seems to have usable engines that should survive such punishment ;-) The Essex engines seem perfect, with the low compression ratio, cast iron block and heads and it's multi-point injection... excluding the metal pipework, a lot of the mods could just be bolt-on... Also, there are some American-market cars with the Cologne V6, which is a very nice engine for budget turbo-charging with a lot of bang for your buck...

Bit late but FYI: they brought the sierra to the states in the mid to late 80s as the merkur XR4Ti (3dr) and the Scorpio (4dr). The XRs are fun and cheap now, if you can find one...

I saw a lot of Sierra cars with postscript Cosworth, but it was only an equipment (bumpers, rims, inside), but with only 2.0 dohc motor :) Thanks for reply

@yb600whp it might be i would not want to exaggerate :). The turbo is Holset HX35 and it´s from a lorry, full boost at 4000-4500 on third gear

@ChrisSelin EASY BUDDY. I was giving props on that car. Coswoth is a great car bulder/ tunner. Everything they touch is SUPER nice and SUPER FAST. I know the British make great cars. I just wish we got some in the states

@lagundafire they came 4wd mate but loads of owners disconected the front wheel drive elemant as it made them more like the RS500

Haha :D My story too friend... I am driving my Sierra for 6 years now. And I won't change it, she will be with me until I die. Wanna buy a STi or Cosworth and one Renault Clio. Exhaust, air filter and radiator are my plan for now. :) Maybe some small upgrades yet to be discovered... xd

@lagundafire i think yur mistaken..haha at first I thought the same thing but i then saw a cosworth drifting and i saw a stockholm getaway scene with a supra and a cosworth and the commentary said that cosworths are small, light, RWD, machines with alot of power potential.

With a turbo it´s possible to achive 300hp with the dohc engine but will take som really fine tuning and a load of money.

It is possible to get 300hp, but it would take ton of cash,. So it's better to buy a Cossie 16v Dohc. My engine is N9 Dohc with 123hp. I want to get a airfilter and exhaust becouse of the sound. I will not get 10hp with that. But the sound is what matters. :D I would love you to hear and see my Sierra, engine is quiet like it's a new car, exhaust loud like it's aftermarket, but it's stock. Sierra's like that are rare. I was thinking of buying a Cossie, and leave my Sierra stock. :)

No sierra cosworth came with without turbo, the sierra cosworth engine is only 16v dohc turbo...

@ChrisSelin NO PROBLEM. Yes we have a lot of V8s. I like them I love old musscle cars but for every day. NOT FOR ME. I drive a 06 WRX STI and i love walking on those4 junk Mustangs and camaros. I have always loved import weather from Eourpe or japan. Beleave it or not not everyone likes big cars over here. I hate TRUCKS to . But shhhh They will take my AMERICAN MAN CARD FOR SAYING THAT. well you're not going to get 300hp out of a standard sierra engine wiithout doing something really drastic! a cosworth engine starts off with 200+hp so it makes it a little easier to get to 300! not sure how much you know about tuning but by you asking the question i assume you know very little, just sticking an air filter and exhaust will do very little as far as improving power. your clx 2.0 dohc maybe has 120bhp? make it easier and get a cosworth engine and go from there onwards.
