@Deena Dallas I realised this was a Sierra fan page so deleted my comment - your remarks were fair enough considering. I get annoyed when people bring down the other actresses to elevate her on other channels though, it's a weird "cult-like" thing a lot of her less pleasant fans have a tendency to do for some reason.

Their voices are GODLY. It's been truly mesmerizing to watch Sierra's voice mature and change. She really sounds fantastic. And Julian, what a tone, and that vibrato is absolutely breathtaking. Amazing performance!

To an extent, the New York Broadway world is a bit isolated from the real world. I say that because I cannot understand why Sierra Boggess is not recognized everywhere as a historically great vocalist. Her Christine in Phantom is magical.

I went to college for music, and Broadway is often snubbed by musicians. It isnt deserved for sure, but I remember my final paper had a section on the under appreciation of Broadway singers and comparing it to opera from centuries ago.

When I was a teenager I was in LOVE with Sarah Brightman. I even sent her a letter at the Majestic in New York and she sent me a signed picture which I still have. That being said, as far as I am concerned Sierra Boggess is the Christine Daae for the ages.

Sierra will always be the only Christine, her performance is just far and away vastly better than any other I’ve seen. The 25 th Anniversary performance was transformative for me personally. I started singing and getting into theater because of that performance-something no other performance of Phantom did. That performance moved me in a way that no other musical has ever approached.

Since I heard Sierra sings as Christine, I try to search about her and Phantom. And that is a very beautiful story and musical. And her voice are angelic. I feel I'm going to cry everytime I hear her sing.

She is so funny in person. The last time I saw her in concert, she shared that she had auditioned for the last revival of My Fair Lady and didn't get the part. Then she proceeded to sing a jaw-dropping version of I Could Have Danced All Night. Clearly the director made a mistake.

This reminds me of the bbc concert, And with the up and coming remake of West side story ,this makes there stunning performance even more relevant. I "discovered" Sierra on KZfaq just a couple years ago, doing the balcony scene (from West Side Story) at the Proms with Julian. I was gobsmacked and immediately began researching "Who is this person/angel" like some fanboy. Lucky enough to have seen her now twice at 54 and can't wait to see her again on Broadway. Perfection!
