Love Siesta Key! I would add that it is a perfect beach for walking. The sand is smooth as cornstarch and doesn't feel hot on the feet.

Yes, we love taking long walks along the beach. Especially at sunset! Our daughter says the sand reminds her of flour!

Voted # beach in the USA in 2015, 17 and 20!... This was just 20min from where we were staying. The sand was like fine powder.

A native of Sarasota, I lived on Calle de Rio for 10 years. I miss the beach so much! I lived there when the swing set was still in the water and "Parking" was still painted on the wall. When the knoll of sand sported that huge tree my husband and I used to sit under early in the morning with coffee and sticky buns. When you had to get to one of the concrete tables on the 4th of July by 7:00 a.m. We will never see all of that again but it appears that Siesta Key hasn't lost it's loveliness. Thanks for a really nice video. By the way, the sand is Silica Sand.

House of the Sun condo is probably one of the best place to rent, they are spacious and beach front. Units are individually owned so they are all unique and it’s run by a great management office. I’ve personally stay in unit 403, nice!, September is a great time to go, the big summer crowd has left, better pricing and less congested traffic. Siesta Key is one of the best vacation destination for sure.

We leave for our first family vacation on Sunday! It’s our little honeymoon/baby moon I have never in my life seen the beach and I am so excited to experience this with my Husband and daughter! 🤍 We got a flight and hotel bundle deal and ended up choosing Siesta Key Palms Resort to stay at. Is that a good location?

Hi Kelly! Congratulations on your wedding and baby! Such a fun time! To be honest, you can't really go wrong anywhere on Siesta Key. We have not been to Palms Resort, but i am sure it is lovely. Parking for the beach fills up fast so if possible, try to arrive early. Also be sure to enjoy the drum circle on the beach (Wednesday evening i believe) and be sure to stay for the sunset! Below is a link to several other videos that will help you make the most of your trip. Including the top 5 beaches in the area. There are several amazing beaches in the area (you will need to drive to them, but all within 20-25 min of Siesta Key) - We love Caspersen beach down near Venice! Alos, you should spend a morning/lunch at St.Armands Circle in Sarasota. It's a lovely area with lots of nice shops and restaurants. Have an amazing time and again CONGRATULATIONS! Does the beach offer umbrellas and/or cabanas to rent? Also, we'll be heading down to clearwater beach next week, but would love to head down to Siesta Key. With spring break, is it considered peak season?

There is an area where you can rent chairs and i believe umbrellas. Yes, Spring Break is very busy. Be sure to get to the beach early as the carpark will fill up fast.

Hi Mandy. Once you are on the island you do not need a car. There is a trolly that runs up and down the island. The village is where most of the shops and restaurants are if you want to be close the 'life of the island'. You should also check out Venice for a day, it's a lovely town and walking distance to Venice beach. About a 25 min uber south. There a lots of places to stay on the Island, however I imagine everything will be more expensive this year and many places are already booked. We like to stay in Venice or Nokomis which is about 25 min south. Beautiful beaches and just a short commute to enjoy Siesta Key, Sarasota and everything else the area has to offer. Those 3 are all very different vibes. What's your goal? If you're young and like to club and party def Miami. If you want an in-between Clearwater. If you're older and want something really relaxing Siesta. If you're in Clearwater a day trip to Siesta is only an hour and a half drive. Ft. De Soto it's an amazing beach and is only 30 minutes from Clearwater. Also, St.Pete and Tampa bars are a short drive away.

Thank you for your comment. This summer there has been more seaweed than in years past. Not typical. It is a beautiful beach. We prefer to visit SK in the winter months. Not nearly as hot! Enjoy your week.

Its a place to visit once or twice...in the winter months...would'nt want to live ther...

Depends if you like the heat or not? If you don't mind the heat it is typically less busy May - October.

Not much to the farmers market . I'm not sure if it is like this all the time, but was expecting much more. Very disappointing.

That's what I was thinking, I grew up on Siesta and the past ten years I haven't been their because it's to over populated, and then they give out turtles information 🤦🏼♀️

I still prefer Hallandale Beach Florida more it’s a beautiful city with a growing communities and businesses and a good nightlife.🫡🇺🇸❤
