I believe this was Season 1... 1998... and in 2004 my wife had laser eye surgery and of course this was mentioned. Fast forward 25 years after airing and my kids know this song as we comment on "mom's laser eyes" making her so curious...

I freaking love that Liam flubs the third line in the third verse and they just left it in. This show always felt so organic because of little details like that. Nothing else like it, before or since.

Once upon a time, in a much more innocent world, I saw a reference to this in a Magic the Gathering set review by one of my favorite MtG writers, and once I finally saw this clip on YT, it was seared forever into my brain. Posting this video in response to any mention of laser-eyes has become a response so ingrained now that it's almost on the level of the patellar reflex - you tap my tendon with a mallet and my leg jerks; you mention laser-eyes and I post the link. So I have to thank you, @MatthewKroh, for facilitating my particular brand of dumbassery. Whether or not you're still active on the site, you're doing the work that I feel KZfaq was originally built for.

I'm pretty much certain that it's "suffragette". Even though this is the first time I've heard this song, that bit just instantly reminded me of the ending to David Bowie's "Suffragette City"- even down to the way he sings it. The "aaauuuuwwww" bit is probably a homage to Suffragette City too, though in the original song that comes a bit earlier, right after the false ending where he goes "Aaauuuuwwww..... wham bam thank you ma'am!" So I'm guessing the makers were Bowie fans!
