It’s not that they don’t care about civilians. It’s that they can’t legally charge civilians less than what they charge the government. And because this is such a niche optic, I’m sure they baked their R&D and tooling costs into the government’s bill.

As a retired SNCO, I have had to sign for lots of weapons accounts at bases I was stationed and get replacements for lost, stolen or damaged items. and I can tell you what the public gets charged for weapons and accessories is NO WHERE close to what the govt pays. The govt cost is WAYYYYYY lower.

No it’s not worth $4k. For that money you can buy an awesome rifle, and if you need two different zeroes for supers/subs or different grain weights of ammo, buy 2 high quality optics with good QD mounts that will return to zero, and mark them as being specific to their ammo type. And you’ll still have money left over for ammo or a training course. Am I way off the mark here or is this sound logic? The price tag on the Romeo 9T is just 🤯

If it is USA made, that's probably why its so expensive. Not justifying it, but weird that they would release it to the civilian market as niche of an application as this is.

The one feature that stands out compared to the 8T is the ability to zero each reticle separately and toggle between them. Ngl that would be a pretty sweet trick. Swap mags, immediately go from green reticle (300 BLK supers) to red reticle (subs) and stay zeroed. Not $3000 worth of sweet. But the kind of thing that would make me grin if I were a decamillionaire

I haven't watched the video yet, but no. No, its not. For that price you could buy a complete BCM rifle, an Acog, piggy back RMR, flashlight and still be half way to purchasing a decent IR aiming module.

It’s a decent optic but imo it’s mostly gimmick, you can simply just know the holds of different ammo, 4000$ is just ubsurd, over 4x an eotech….anyone who buys this is just a clown

I love all sig products but that military contract got them trippin on civilians and those prices. Side note I have a romeo2 same deal just way overpriced.
