Regarding the difficulty of loading a full mag into the gun, it may be easier to try locking the slide back *first*, then inserting the magazine, then releasing the slide, which loads the first round into the chamber. Thanks for the thorough and enjoyable review of the 365.

I love this pistol! I’m a big guy and have big hands as well, but with the 12 round mag I can just hold it comfortably. I’ve fired it in a number of drills as well as normal ranges for a year and a half. I do not regret making it my edc. It’s just so very concealable. Thanks for the review!

Bought my 365 about 10 months ago. 400 rounds through it so far, and no regrets. I have wide hands (years of construction) with short fingers, and this gun fits me perfectly. I also got the tac pac. Glad I did, as those mags are $50 each! Nice review, thanks for being straightforward and safe while handling the weapon.

Nice firearm. My wife carries the 365, my normal edc is the XL. The extra 1/2" on the length and height cuts down significantly on the snap. Both are excellent choices for carry. particularly for smaller framed individuals. Great video.

I always load one less round, zero malfunctions.

you can remove the safety and even buy a new frame without the cutout from the sig sauer website. the internals are the same for both guns. Takes about 10 min, push pin out remove the trigger assembly, use a punch to push in the detent , rotate out the safety lever. I did this with the first P365 I purchased. was so excited to get it, did not realize the one the gun store owner brought out had the safety on it.

Comprehensive video Heather made! Yes, loading these mags are a challenge w/o a magazine loader. My 3.7” bbl, XL model with the RomeoZero sight racks easy with fully-loaded factory-supplied 12-rd flush-fitting mags, and the same ease with the 15 rd. extended mags. The factory stock version w Romeo Zero sight provides a 3 MOA red dot actuated via motion detection, and the front sight is tritium...the rear sights visible through the red dot glass are non-illuminated square notch and are quite adequate as a backup. The gun is very accurate, and the trigger’s long pull suites me fine considering there’s no other external safety on the P365XL. IMO, I’d go with the XL model if you’re able to tuck it away concealed. Truth is, the XL model is quite small as concealed carry guns go. This is a well-engineered little pistol.

Very thorough review. I CC a P365, have been for over a year. I was a Glock fanboy until I got my P365. I won't be going back.

Heather I want to thank you! I had already decided to get a P365 pistol for EDC. Thankfully, I watched your P365 carry review first and realized I had forgotten that a TACPAC was available. I purchased the TACPAC and for an extra $50. I will get my EDC with 3 extra 12 round mags and a holster. This saved me about $200! Keep up the good work and I will continue to follow you in the future.

Great video Heather. My 365 is my EDC and the only safety worth having is a well fitted kydex holster and well trained trigger discipline.

I just accidentally bought my 2nd P365 on Saturday. Was just looking for ammo, but the store had two P365s, so I bought one because they are extremely hard to find around MN. As they were running the NICS check on me, a gal bought the other one. They also "found" 200 rounds of 9mm in the back to sell me. I was almost more excited about that than the gun. I plan on giving it to my daughter as soon as she gets her carry permit.

I love my Sig P365. I also got the extended 15 round mag. It's a great EDC and conceal carry. My other favorite is the P320 SC in 9mm. Nice to know there are other gals out there like me. Thank you for your videos.

I’ve large hands yet I’ve learned to manage this weapon quite well. I’ve had it a year with only one issue...the night sights. The rear tubes went dark but SIG replaced them quickly.

Good job on the video. As a lefty, when reloading in classes I insert the fully loaded mags with the slide locked back. Then, pull the slide back just enough to unlock it. Hope this helps.

Nice review. I also live in Washington and the delay does nothing to keep guns out of criminals hands. I have the Sig 365, have over 800 rounds no problems and I carrie it daily.

I lived in WA, recently moved to Idaho with that law being one of the biggest reasons. Great videos keep up the good work! Also love that gun, I went with the 320 xcompact because of the wider grip but live them both!

Once Sig fixed the “bugs” I bought a P365. I was so happy with it, I went out and bought the P365XL. Excellent weapons.

Have the same pistol. What I recommend is replacing the trigger with Sig's flat trigger. Much more comfortable and makes it more accurate. Its a pain to install unless you watch a couple of KZfaq videos. Once installed you won't look back - its that good.

I have very big hands. I picked up a budget Sig (SP2022) a couple months ago and it fits me nicely. On the other hand, it's become painfully obvious that waist carry inside the pants would require me to lose 20lbs of gut in order to draw smoothly from there. That's alot of crunches. Thanks for the review! Sig makes fantastic pistols.

Sigs have a heavy pull, Sig calls Double action, because of this they usually do not have a safety....... Love the belt!

Just keep in mind this gun purchased was in the TacPac set up. When buying the normal P365 it's a little cheaper and only comes with 2 10 round mags.

I love my 365. It’s been my warm weather gun for the past 2 years and I’ve never had issues with it. Run every kind of ammo I can get through it with out issue. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine

I see a potential problem with the belly ring and an emergency draw.

Heather: I am fortunate in that I have a good friend who owns a gun dealership. I am able to test drive new products at his indoor range. I test drove a P365 and P365 XL. both have the same internal safeties however I liked the extra 1/2 inch in length, the single flat wire recoil spring and the trigger deactivation of the sear safety plus the redundant back up sear safety. I purchased the XL and still carry it today as my primary CCW

Great review!! just picked my first 365, I’m a Glock fanboy here in Texas, but this is the only other brand gun that has interested me and I finally went ahead and got one yesterday since they just happen to have a tac pack in my LGS. My first non Glock gun and I must say so far the ergo and fit in hand is great, I’m seeing great reviews so far and looking forward to testing. Going from a G19 to this if all works good!

I’ve been carrying this gun daily for about 5 months now and I love it. The trigger is still terrible (even after 5 hours of work and 900 rounds) but the trigger isn’t the only thing that matters.

I love mine as well. Switching the frame to the XL as I always carry the 12-rd mag and it has added features. But keeping the standard slide. The Sig P365 X-carry as I seen it posted as such in other videos. 👍🏽 Happy Holidays.

I'm a "small guy" at only 5'9" with smaller hands. I went from carrying a G26 to the P365. For me, night and day. I still love my glocks, but for comfort, concealment and overall niceness in my hands, the Sig is where it is at for my EDC.

I just picked up the compact P365 and am thrilled with it! I'm a big guy with med-large hands and use the flat 10-rd for normal use, since I pocket carry, and have a 17-rd mag for backup. While I can barely get that last round in the 10-rd mag with my thumb, I definitely need a loading tool to top up the bigger magazines. Being a bit of a dinosaur who came up on 1911s, I use the thumb safety, even though I am very careful to keep finger off trigger until time to shoot! Thanks for a very thoughtful video--though three years late!

I found your channel while searching for P365 reviews. I also have the P365 TACPAC. For some reason the SIG mags (both 12 round and 15 round) are hard to max load. Dang near impossible. I did not have that problem with the P320 M18 and P320 X Compact mags. Getting the mags to seat fully loaded was extremely difficult and worse was trying to rack the slide. I first load 1 then put 11 and 14 respectively in the mags. Also try loading your mags all the way and let them sit for a few weeks. Thats a trick I learned many years ago from a gunsmith when I worked in a gun store. I had similar problems with Para Ordance and Beretta mags. Love you're channel.

I have 3 of them... all 2022 manufactured and purchased at Rural King on sale. Wilson Combat Ultima Lube II Universal and Mil-Comm TW-25B are what you should be using. Shooters Choice FP-10 Elite is also a good lube that just works. I think most of the guys having problems are running them dry or using cheap Wal-Mart crap lubes. None of mine have ever had a malfunction and have always fired using my own reloads. Precision Delta 124 grain FMJ 5.3 grains Alliant Power Pistol COL 1.150" 0.377" taper crimp Winchester WSP small pistol primer seated 0.002" below flush.

So great to see women getting into firearms. Nothing more empowering than that.

I wish I would have watched this video first. It gets right to the point and tells me what I need to to know without a lot of fluff. I seriously got more out of this one video then watching five others!

Thinking of adding the P365 to my collection for concealed carry and have watched dozens of videos. Picked up lots of info, but no more than I got here. This is the first one I've watched where the gun was actually stuck in a holster and concealed. This is also the first one to discuss the magazines. Everyone brags about the capacity, but no one mentions the difficulty you might have if you fill the mags to capacity. My old weak arthritic hands appreciated it.

One of the best vids I've seen on this one. Yes. the mags take some breaking in. I had a really hard time fully loading/racking the 12rd mags. It took many times reloading each one before it got to where I didn't feel like loading round 12 was going to break my thumb and racking wasn't a workout. I bought it for my wife but between that and how snappy it is, she likes my Bersa Thunder better and I love this little thing.

Sure would like to know the distance you're shooting. With a gun like that is strictly survival. I would say maximum of 15 ft. Any survival distance for me would be within an arm's reach. Nice video. You have good guns sense. I live in Washington State. I figured that's the Washington you're talking about.

Spot on assessment of this pocket weapon. I had one previously to my current EDC. Exactly as you described. It's a tough little number. Both to handle/operate initially and to adjust to it's size and kick until you adapt to it and it's broken in some more. Israeli law does not allow the average 'Joe' to own simultaneously more than one firearm. I switched to a P320 X Carry Pro.

I own the 365 and the 365xl. Both are very good guns. Very nice review on the firearm and video as well.

I picked one up the other week, has been my EDC. Love it

If you ever have trouble getting your slide to go on, it’s due to one and/or two things. The takedown lever has to be straight up and down. It can get knocked back to an almost horizontal position. If this happens, push up on the slide release lever and push the takedown lever back to a straight up and down position. The second thing that can occur is if you pull the trigger, it can cause the safety lever to come up and prevent The slide from going back onto the frame. Simply push it back down and you are good to go.

I just got the same TacPac. The mags get easier to load after you reload them a few times.

It’s amazing to hear about the difference in buying firearms between the states. I’m in Georgia. When I bought my Sig, I had about a 20-30 min wait. Granted, I have a security clearance, but would that make that much of a difference? I hear that in California, when you try and get a carry permit, the clerk actually runs away from you and you have to tackle her and force her to sign. Be careful, because she bites.

Had mine over a year now, no hiccups and is my primary go to, it makes comfortable sense.

I could tell from your video you have a lot of knowledge about firearms and you have excellent shooting skills. I have subscribed to your page and will be following you and your new adventures. I personally now carry a Springfield Hellcat and a Glock 42 as my concealed carry guns. (Not at the same time) I love love both of them. I'm a retired LEO and have been a firearms instructor for most of my Law-enforcement career. Suggestion: lock the slide back, put in a full mag, then let the slide close. The slide will lock open on an empty mag, allowing you to put in a fresh mag.

Something about a women that carries firearm and a knife, that is GREAT! BTW I also conceal carry a Sig P 365 w/ two extra mags. in Texas we can open carry only if you have a license to carry handgun.

Great review. Used to shoot Sigs in the military but im a Glock guy now :-) We left WA for TX for a host of reasons, but a big one for us was the horizon, at the time, for gun laws. My predictions came true and things have gotten even worse there. Good luck if you stick it out. Miss the beauty of the state, but not the other very serious issues.

Nice review, I am still tossing the idea of the p365 for the wifey. I am a glock fan boy even though I didn't start as one lol. I started with a ruger and was like I will never own a glock. Then I got 1, then I got 4 more. Now I am 🤤 over the gen 5 mos cuts for the 22 and 23 variant. I've never used a red dot on a pistol but am leaning towards trying it. I love my iron sights don't get me wrong.

Love my P365! I also have the 15-round mag. But the 12-round with pinky extension is perfect. Great summertime EDC when wearing less clothes. 😉

I have a p365 xl and I can tell you the spring softens in the mag after a couple of days being fully loaded.

Yes. It doesn't matter whether you've gotten your Concealed Pistol License issued to you by your Local Police agency, in Washington State, FFL will do a background investigation also. It is what it is. I'm contemplating between Sig 365XL and CZ P10S for daughter. I've seen tons of reviews and they're all been quality reviews. So, at the end of the day, it's all about preference. 💯💯🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲👍👍

That slide loosens up sooner rather than later. It'll get easy to rack soon if you use it a bit more.

And thats why i'm glad i'm a Texan...i got mine two days ago. I have a CCL and it took me maybe 10 minutes to fill out everthing on the computer and walk out the door...

I carry with one in the chamber but safety on. But I trained many hours to get myself to be second nature with turning off the safety with my right thumb after I remove it from the holster and while extending my arms outwards before shooting. It took a lot of time but it was worth it for me.

I also have the TACPAC (with no manual safety). I've been rotating my two carry magazines weekly since I got it in September, and by now the magazine springs have definitely loosened up and they've become easier to reload by hand. The consistent weekly loading and unloading of the mags definitely did the trick.

This is what I bought a year and a half ago and it was "perfect"! Do yourself a favor and replace the grip module with the XL grip module($38.00 @ proven outfitters) and a Streamlight TLR-6 ($100.00)and it will be more PERFECT! Don't forget 12 round standard base plates for you 3 mags (Proven Outfitters)! ....... DAM, she is married...Oh yeah, so am I!! I am subscribing anyway!
