Love the video! Cool to see your process and how the UV slider works. Just resighted in my tape as well. Switched up my process and just marked the old tape at 20 and 60 and then went and lined it up.

As someone from up north, can confirm that the 28 to 38 degree range feels colder than the -10 to 20 degree range. Cold wet sucks heat away faster. I'd also take a dry 110 degrees over 80 degrees at 100 percent humidity.

I was moving pins at 5° a few weeks ago…. Lol. It’s 38° right now and I’m wearing shorts while watching this between lifting sets, with the garage doors open.

Shooting vertical and horizontal lines is so much more accurate and easier. It gives lots better feedback versus a circle. Circles may be fine for hunting kill shots but the idea is to get it as exact as you are capable of shooting

I'm sure you got everything set up this way, but your suppose to put the setup tape on the right side of the slider. There's a single black needle there that moves with your floater pin to indicate what sight tape to use during the process. This will allow you to keep the set up tape on the bow too if you change things up.

Great video! How is the pin brightness? Do you have to use the sight light the majority of the time to see the pins ? Thanks

So I finished setting up my sight. I'm shooting a 450 gr total. I ended up with tape #22. I had to cut the tape down to like 100 yards to make it so I could put a screw in the bottom of the tape holder because of where I had to line up the 60. I'm also confused why you don't end up with your slider at the top dead stop to be your 20 yards. I'm still going to be setup to shoot out to about 100 yards but it seems odd that your using up dial to be at 20 yards. Are there some tricks to setting up the slider so that you actually have the top dead stop at 20 yards and have the full range of the slider?

Got a question. I have the phase 4 shooting 75# 28” draw with a 370grain arrow. It shooting #19 sight tape witch seems way too slow compared to others I’ve seen. Anyone have this problem or know how to fix it???

Why set 20, 30, and 40? I’m new to bows but. I wanted to shoot up to 120 yds. Should I make my bottom pin be 120?
@Apostolusle5 ай бұрын
First, I sighted it in at 20 with the middle pin. Then I put on the tape and lined it up to 20. Then I shot from 60 with the middle pin, and the indicator said it was tape #18. I put the tape on and lined up the pins from the front housing. I cranked the dial-up and adjusted the pointers to 20, 30, and 40 yards to match the tape. Shots are completely off. What am I doing wrong??
@BackcountryAthlete5 ай бұрын
Hmm I would have to see what you did but just double check when you go back to your top position after you confirm your sight tape (mine is always 20 yards) that you actually stop that middle pin at 30 and not go past to the 20. I made that mistake before and it will throw off all the numbers for the other pins.

Just a tip no hate! But start shooting just 2 or 3 arrows instead of all of your arrows every time you shoot. You want every shot to be perfect for muscle memory best odds with less arrows

I can seem to figure this out my slider is racked all the way to the top of the rail and middle pin the floater is still shooting way high at 20 yards I’m out of room?
@BackcountryAthlete4 ай бұрын
First thing I would do is make sure it is paper tuned. A lot of times a high arrow rest or too low of a knocking point can cause super high impacts at 20 yards. If that’s tuned then I would check your peep sight location
@ericwolbert32564 ай бұрын
U can also move sight housing up and down on the rail! That’s why it has holes in front.
@Pro-zh9up5 ай бұрын
So I have a question. I have an ultraview mx2 rest set to the suggested mark on the Lift. The arrow was centred by the shop. I have not had the 3 axis confirmed yet but I was hitting way right of target and discovered the pins were not in line with the string. I am now turned right almost maxxed with 3 graduations left in the windage? It makes no sense that I would have to almost use up almost all of my windage. If my axis is off this might actually worsen the situation. What are your thoughts? Suggestions?
@BackcountryAthlete5 ай бұрын
I would start with paper tuning, Mathews uses a top hat system in the cams. So if the rest is properly set up, you may just need to adjust your top hats! The pro shop should easily be able to knock this out for you!

You keep saying you’re moving your sight tape. Actually the tape doesn’t move, your scope moves to the tape.
