Been trying to look at reviews for this as about to buy one. As the price is really good. Have to say was really impressed with the images at the end and you have convinced me to get one.

If you mean the lens, i should say i love this lens. It works still fine, i don't noticed any drop in the performance. About 2 months ago, i upgraded to Nikon z6, and it works well with the FTZ adapter too. But i also have to mention, that i think i have a higher percentage of missed shot whit it compared to when i used the kit lens with extension tube. But on the other hand it has a much batter quality when it nails the shot. Also, sometime it has a hard time to find the focus, and it is the case both on the d5300 and z6. Specially when it is darker a little, or when the object is small. As my first sentence suggest, i did not regret buying this lens. Most of the macro was made with this lens (since i have it) here, but it is always displayed in the tags: instagram.com/harynjk/

Hi there, I bought the same lense and I am not happy with it. Losing my focus when I take my pictures closer to the subject. You can see samples on my channel.

Did you use stacking to make it sharper ? i got the same lens but i cant get this sharpness using my 80d

Lens shipped inside a plastic bag, how dangerous. Even though the lens is in a Sigma box and Sigma does a good job of packaging their products it's careless by the sender. Make sure you have a good copy and all elements inside the lens is aligned. I'm thinking about this lens vs the Tamron 90 f/2.8 VC because it's half the price, good to see the lens doesn't extend while focusing. Keep in mind if you are new to macro that AF hunts, it doesn't matter what brand you are using.

are these pictures made with just this lens or did you use an extender as well? ( just saw the first part, ignore this comment (a))

thanks , have you encounter heavy vignetting on AP-C without the extension lens hood?
@harynjk25152 жыл бұрын
On aps-c both are fine individually or the 2 together as well. It is only on full frame, that the narrower one would cause vignetting.

@@harynjk2515 thanks man, but i don't want those 2 lens hood blocking on my diy macro flash, that is annoying. it doesn't make any sense why they add 2 lens hood.
@harynjk25152 жыл бұрын
@@huskythnoname4697 You can use it without them, i still like to have the wilder one on the lens, but it is up to you to use any of them or not. I feel it a little safer to have the hood on, it would make it harder to accidentally hit the lens against a rock, or anything else what could damage the front element of the lens.
