GUYS: Anime name is Golden Time.This is the best romcom I've ever watched to date. It is the most realistic, romantic college narrative. It is very good at avoiding generic cliches and actually fleshing out characters, their motivations, friendships, and relationships in a very realistic way; something I've never seen in any other show. The only reason it's not as popular as most of the other romcom trash these days is due to it being somewhat of an "old" show. It's definitely worth a watch!

@@derblaue I want to agree with you given I don't feel like my own tastes have improved at all after a certain point, but nah... The huge influx of new "anime fans" in the last 2-3 years has been pretty bad. People looking at every new anime as if it's the hot shit, undisputed godly content or something. All I see is generic shit I've seen a 100 times before. New viewers? Probably gonna call it anime of the year or something. That being said, I do feel like my own standards were forcibly lowered given most of the newer anime just don't hit the same way, I have more fun re-watching old anime I knew than watching most new ones.

@@tomixravenloss well it has its pros and cons with the influx Since the anime market changes from marketing focused (most anime were basicly advertisements for the merge and the books (mangas and light novels) to boost these sells but the influx in fans creates a demand that can be profitable and so changes the market the anime get more mainstream since the series that are successful get kinda copied in the way like "hey that anime did good and that one too.. Mhm.. All the stuff that both share seems to sell good... So let's take a story that has also that similarities and make an anime adaptation" the isekai wave we see is the best example of it and since ReZero, Konusuba,Overlord (and kinda even SaO) took off because these anime had samething or even many good points on it (the music, story, characters, comedy etc the hypes there kinda more reasonable same years ago) so it gets a bit dull but the positive part is that more animes getting published and continued (hopefully even ended) so it takes more effort to find a new and good anime in the mass but the access and amount of good anime is also rapidly increasing so I would say it is a overal positive development And to the taste mater well too be honest I'm kinda a trash anime watcher I happen to binge anime then I'm depressed and in that sate I don't mind realy what I'm watch as long ass it could take my mind away for reality and in that manner I acquired a decent amount of days in watchtime and yeah too a certain extent the taste gets better till you hit your personal sealing and it really dosnt mater if since taste is different from person to person for same are mecha anime trash for same are harem trash and for other hate romance or historical anime so how could we say same one has a better taste of them or worst that is opinional to how you ask since they take there taste to measure other people And even if we different in Bad and good taste by there suggestions that a good anime is and vote it with a meaningful sinced group it it is also pro and con -bad taste: cann enjoy every shit /makes bad suggestions -Goood taste:makes good suggestions /can't enjoy every shit

Honestly, when a friend you like rejects you…it is painful to tell them “Oh, but we can still be friends” that is a basic leading them on tactic. Until you can get over them, meaning grieve. Cry, sob, stay in the house, get away from them because you need to heal. I hate when the person you said you like them says “I know I said I reject you but we can still be friends right?” That is like saying “no, sorry I can’t accept your feelings but that doesn’t mean my mind will change tomorrow.” A real friend needs to give you time and space. Yes, it hurts. But if you cannot accept their feelings they have been so strong to tell you and you like the way things are…let them grief. Tell them, take as long as you need to get over me, even if it means finding someone else. I care about you to grieve first.

For the record most of the time when a girl and guy are friends odds are one of the reasons is because she never or never will see you as a romantic partner cause it's not very common to see two ppl that are attracted to each other stays as friends for very long cause they either get together fairly quick or drift apart quick due to whatever the reason may be that they can't be together.

that scene where she answers yes or no with her fan, it triggered my memory about that anime. all the memories i had when i was watching it at that time came rushing to my head and tears slowly started flowing from my eyes. it had a special place in my heart because i remember being so moved by the story. 5 years later i had completely forgotten about that anime. it's like when you come across a friend you haven't seen in a long time and you don't remember each other at first, but when you finally recognize each other you start bursting into tears and all the memories you've had with each other hit you like a truck. i'm definitely gonna watch this again and let the nostalgia come rushing in

Yeah I think being a friend after rejected feels awkward. It may take time. I really love this anime except on the Ghost Banri part where his past self still loves Linda. Good thing he still ended up with Koko, who is much honest and sweet woman than Linda, and also rich, which is a plus but not a must 😁

Hey, I was badly rejected by two of the girls I liked in high school and college and we're still good friends. Took awhile for me to know I should grateful to just have good people like that in my life. When it's the ones who care for you and will do their best to help you through your newer pains years later, then you know you were around them because they were good people and you don't want to lose them. Especially when one of them ends up saving your life. Spoken from a true story. My heart was crushed but it healed over time. Now I owe someone a life debt and it gave me a reason to live and stay true to my honor code I've had since I was a kid.

This show has to be one of my favorite anime shows since it was good at the relatable and realistic romance. This anime is also a college anime that you barely seeing as a setting. Kouko is especially went she went from being annoying to one of my favorite anime characters she sticks up for her man and we love her for it.

And so she keep treating him as a friend but he don't want that and we get to where we at in the video. She know how he feels but just look past it and wants him to give her attention or whatever she needs Just like banri said " when you rejected me, you lost the rights to have those things" He don't just mean a relationship but a friendship as well. I'm sure you know being with someone you like who rejected you don't really make you feel good or happy and since that's the case there's no reason to stay with them. And so banri made that choice

Word, at 1:18 , and I know what it's like to lose someone like that, except for the part that I was in a relationship with my ex, and now we're broken apart, it also broke my heart when I had to tell her no because she begged me to stay, but I ended up still saying no in the end because if I let someone like her get her way like this, I'd be more miserable than not being single, I basically left her because she doesn't listen to me and can't keep her word on improving her communication. God dammit, now i wanna change my mind and do a vid on this show this week. Golden time was the first anime i actually sat down and watched in sub when i first got into the niche, and still continues to be one of my favorites. The characters feel real, the legitimate college vibe is fresh. Prob still one of the most relatable shows ive ever watched ngl. Edit: _It's also the only romcom I can watch now without the MC's talking causing character overlap in my head due to knowing VAs now lol_

Not gonna lie, I'd pretty much do the same. She turns him down, still wants to hang out with him, and only talks about the guy she loves every time, I'd be annoyed with her to. It's bad enough that he was rejected, and that she kept talking about her crush/his best friend, but he kept having unfinished business with Linda his childhood friend and first crush
