Thanks to the former Wachowski brothers, now sisters for making these crazy entertaining movies! Still a masterpiece.
The Matrix (1999) is one of the most greatest science fiction movies of all time. It really identifies and analyzes the boundaries of perception and perspective between reality and fiction. It was something new, fresh, unique, inventive, stylish, cool, edgy, hip, and updated such as the concept and theme. The story, performance's, music, action sequences, special effects, images, direction, and cinematography was spectacular and phenomenal. It was decent. To this day I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old. 😍😎💯👍

I think to really enjoy a movie, you have to have to be in the right situation. You can watch the greatest movie ever, but if your not in the moment you won't get the most out of it. When i watched the Matrix, it was the perfect storm for me. I was at a boarding school, zero troubles in my life, just really soaking up the world. I went to the cinemas, as usual stopping of to get high before going. We got to the cinema, I was super baked, and there was nothing on. All the movies looked like shit, but there was this one movie that had the letter 'X' in it, and we were like, "well, everything is shit. Lets just watch that one." We walked out of the cinema like we were actually in the Matrix. When you get that feeling from watching a movie, it becomes like a drug. I've been chasing that dragon for years. The closest I've ever come to that type of emersion was Mad Max Fury Road.

@@gaozhi2007 we would sit right up the front. Like three seats back from the front so the entire screen is in our vision. Me and one friend. Soon as Trinity was introduced sitting in that room with the phone at the start, I was completely engaged. When Neo touched the mirror after taking the red pill the hairs on my arms never came down till the end. I grew up in a tiny town that had no cinema. So just going to any movie was a major trip. I remember as soon as I got out of my chair at the credits, i thought, it's totally possible we are in a computer simulation. Which as current simulation theory's show. Going down the escalators and walking outside the mall we said nothing to each other. We were both just still tripping out on this random movie we'd never heard about before walking into it. Best movie ever.
