SIGNAGE: Create, Place and Schedule (with Automatic Room Names)

Signage can be a real bear to deal with in Revit if you go totally manual.
But if you use the right parameters, and a little bit of family know-how, you can get your schedules to report the Room Names and Numbers.
This can save tons of time when things change... (you notice I didn't say IF things change, haha).

Thank you. Today the office was actually thinking how to create a schedule for some wall art, and how to have it report the rooms the artwork is associated with, and this will solve the dilemma. The room calculations point check box just opened up a lot of options for quantifying art, restroom accessories, ADA braille signs, etc.

Thanks Mike for that FANTASTIC revit tip! I am wondering if in lieu of scheduling the room information that you can also schedule the door info if it is a door number sign?

you use electric technichal method design to design this signage ......is there another methode as architect design interior design atrbiute cards

My next question..... Can model text be added to the sign that will update based on the reported room info in the schedule? If not, Autodesk should make it work.

How come my sign when making component, it stays with hot pink lines and not solid black? Also do you have office hours where ones can pay for your 1 hour of your time for some Revit help?

You may need to change the line colors in the Object Styles dialog area.
