Please don't call Kerala lifestyles primitive.... its one of the richest states in India with almost 100 percent literacy rate... Kerala is the second largest producer of both, Tea & coffee in India.... that was not wax...it's an ayurvedic massage therapy...the oldest spa treatment in the world.... the palace you mentioned is bekal fort ...watch David's been here and Sam and Audrey and also food ranger videos for Indian food reviews

Seroiusly... Kerala has cities just like any other state but obviously showing a city doesn't make for the best tourism ad. Saying it is primitive is really rude.

Hey everybody. Some of you expanded on the "primitive" remark. To those people, I'd just like to say: Thank you. This is why we started this channel, to learn and get educated in each others' cultures and bring people closer in the process. Neither of us have ever been to Kerala. Hence, our knowledge of the state is limited to tourism video such as this one, where all you see is people living in old fashioned houses, making things with their hands, catching fish off of little dories, bathing with elephants and eating on leaves. Thank you for opening our eyes to the amazing facts about the development, infrastructure and literacy rates of Kerela, facts that were intentionally or unintentionally left out of the tourism video by it's creators. This province never seizes to amaze! Can't wait to visit God's own country, Kerela. Thanks again, stay tuned for move videos on other parts of India and Canada. Namashkaar, Jai Hind!

Hahahaha premitive?? Kerala has the lowest positive population growth rate in India, 3.44%; the highest Human Development Index (HDI), 0.712 in 2015; the highest literacy rate, 93.91% in the 2011 census; the highest life expectancy, 77 years; and the highest sex ratio, 1,084 women per 1,000 men. According to a survey by economics research firm Indicus Analytics in 2007, Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kozhikode, Thrissur, Kochi and Kannur are among the "best cities in India to live"; the survey used parameters such as health, education, environment, safety, public facilities and entertainment to rank the cities.

Primitive😁 not at all dear. Once you land in the airport and start to travel by road u will b suprised to see all the buildings and completely different and developed areas from the video. Bt at the same time nothing is fake in that video. U can find all these cultural arts, eye catching areas, and all those greenery once u start exploring our land with the help of a good tourist guide or with proper planning. Kerala hv both faces. The precious village areas and modern city areas. One thing is guarantee, even in villages u won't feel like lost or primitive. Cz there will b schools, colleges, hospitals, hotels, and all those imp facilities nearby whenever u need. So, welcome to the GOD'S OWN COUNTRY 🌴 OUR KERALA 😍

Lifestyle in Kerala is not primitive. They hold to their tradition and festivals very dearly. Sadly most of it is lost and what remains is only a fraction. I can say that it is the tourism that is supporting these cultures and bringing some of it back. Westernisation had taken a toll - not complaining. There is a reason they survived the flood so well even without the central govt support. They are very united with no religious conflicts. It had nothing to do with politics like the media reports it. Being one myself I can say that they are very politically inclined, well educated and extremely adaptable ppl. It is however being corrupted by self-centred politics to some extent. It is a place where you will truly feel one with nature. So much green. Fyi that was not waxing. It is an Ayurvedic treatment to relax you mind. They use oils to cool down your body. The west has a lot to learn from here and we have a lot to learn from the west. Support Kerala. Make it truly the god's own country. Proud Mallu

@Ansh & Mandy Nice to see this video getting popular! As every part of India is different from each other, Kerala is entirely different from what you actually learn about India. We have everything, from the snow-capped Himalayas to the Thar desert. From the Rainforest of Kerala to the Plains of Uttar Pradesh. From Salt flats of Gujarat to the dense forest of Assam. You name it, we have it !! About the people with the sticks in the video, As you know, Kerala is the birthplace of the oldest Martial arts form "Kalaripayattu" and this is mixed in our culture and rituals. There are traditions in which we celebrate the memory of war or fight between two princely states which held centuries ago. Here you can see people have turned to one on one and beating water, not people. There so many of such rituals to celebrate the memory of a war or to celebrate the victory. "Onathallu" is one among them which is observed as a war cry by the people of a certain pricily state in seeking vengeance for their king who was murdered by another king. People turn to groups and slap on the back of each other in a certain way !! The important thing is these rituals have to observe in a specific manner, usually by the disciples of the Martial arts schools which is loyal to certain Traditional Warlord or Princely states. There are certain training and practices. Mean to say not anybody can jump with a stick and beat the guys around !!:P

I stumbled upon your video, as I was through a number of videos on Kerala,my state in many ways, though I am now settled in Canada for over a decade. Though Ansh appeared to be at least familiar a bit with South Indian culture etc, he actually spoiled the whole effort, by calling some community as PRIMITIVE! Being a person who is living outside India for over 30 years, same time visiting India every year, I know that it was not intentional to use such a word, instead of using words like TRADITIONAL,Custom based, Heritage, culture etc suitable to show age/period/antiquity. Visit South India and cover all 4/5 states, despite heat, summer is good for your HOBBY! Thanks

He is using that word coz he doesn't know what word "culture n cultural " mean.....he must be finding his own culture ,lost somewhere.....that's why surprised n using words like " primitive"......Kerala has higher HDI than most European countries but preserving its traditional roots, which most north central Indian states r loosing due to trying to copy Western culture.....

I'm saauryyy I'm a fool. Didn't mean to offend anybody, let alone my own people. In my defense they do show a lot of people working in rice fields, bathing with elephants, playing in dirty water and living in old fashioned houses. However, I was completely unaware how well progressed and developed Kerela is. This is exactly why we started this channel. So we can learn more about each other's culture, spread awareness and bring people closer. There's so much to learn form India's rich history and culture. Thank you so much for educating us. Keep watching. Much love, dhanyacaad Namashkaar.

@@anshmandy8088 its okay you didn't know.but this video a bit old and the water is not dirty but we like our rain and a little bit muddy weather. well if you want to bathe an elephant you cant wash it like a truck dude you have to go into the River and wash it like your own child so it obvious that you also will be drenched in water there is a bond between the elephant and the caretaker. and the old fashion houses you called there no house like that in cities anymore and its rare now days but its the most preferable architecture for our weather with two monsoons and hot summer .
