Exactly PK, a lot of people don't see the need for counselling. The level of neglect to learning these things is worrisome. Marriage matters are very delicate and sacred it'd be unwise to indulge with rushing emotions

Wow. That's so true. I too have always thought wrong on the blood-is-thinker-than-water saying. In fact the baby blood and the mother's blood do not mix. They only pick the traits. My grandma asked me to not rush after getting engaged and believe me it gave me that chance to see who I was with and save my life (he wasn’t beating me, but I felt it In my spirit that it was a dead end) and future. And was he not trying to rush me?! I started to ask why? Why the rush? And the reasons changed every time and all of the reasons were transactional. This guy just wanted to look good (publicly) by marrying 😅

@@nnenniaifepe5073 I 100% agreed with you. However, my point was that most couples only start pre-marriage counseling after agreeing to get married and dates have been fixed. Secondly, most church counselors are not trained counselors except that they are married, pre-marriage classes are just prerequisites to this already 'fixed date wedding' without the REAL RELATIONSHIP counseling but ask them to pray out the issues. Please, also consider/read Grace Ibelegbu's point above.
