Very true. When you're 18, you feel like the opportunities are endless. When you're in your mid-late 20s and things haven't turned out as planned, one realizes opportunities are becoming harder to come by & its exhausting. Don't get discouraged. **Work smart, plan goals, and do NOT give up**

I got you. You need to go to trade school and work as a plumber or electrician for 5 years. Get a license. You’ll be making around 110k for a few years by then. Invest in the S&P and Bitcoin 100$ each a month. Work as an electrician for ten years and continue to invest. By 32 you’ll be loaded

The part I fear the most: From age 18 to 24 I bareley had social life. Now things are better, but Im constaly anxious at the thought of all the time wasted. I feel that the early twenties were an important part to live through with a group of friends and gain "street experience" so you dont act like a socially akward kid. But now that time is gone forever. Now I feel like Im not at the same level of social experience than the rest and I may never be. And even of I have "that group of friends" now, there wont be as much twenties left to live them together ss the rest have. I see former classmates losing their "kid face" and I feel scared. Like If I hadnt grown up with them as I should have because I was the loner.

Try not compare via social media. Not all is what it seems. Be grateful for what you have (sounds like you are) and then work on 1 extra thing you want to develop or change. Time is not a factor, this think could take you 5 years to fix but believe me you won’t feel any different at 34. So don’t wait start now, small steps every day.

I'm 25 and feeling exactly what you mentioned. Although I know my purpose on this planet but I'm just too scared and tired to take any steps towards it. I had so many dreams as a kid I feel like I haven't accomplished anything. I have a good job but not what I wished as a kid. My classmates who were not good in studies are doing better than me. Everyone is finding love in my circle, some are getting married and here I am, all alone. I have never ever hurt anyone, never cheated on anyone, and always tried to be the best daughter yet I'm the one who always gets cheated and betrayed. I never got any love from my parents, siblings or friends. I'm just totally clueless about life rn.

Best thing I can advise you is to read some philosophy books, depending where you are from you will have some native authors. The path of a philosopher is hard mentally and at the end it all comes down to this. The mind. I'm in a crisis myself but I do have people that support me. Develop yourself and those around you will notice, but you have to remind yourself that you are doing this for yourself and that life doesn't end at 25-30. People take black belts in sports like brazilian jiu-jitsu at 60! LIVE LIFE AND BE HAPPY!

I'm 28 and... - My ex left me after 11 years for somone else almost a year ago. (She cheated) - I had to find a new home for my dog after my seperation since I could not afford having her anymore, unfortunately. (Loved her so much) - I'm almost done with my engineering degree. (Have my thesis left) - I moved home again after my seperation, so I'm living with my mother. - I'm broke at the moment but I'm working out almost everyday and trying to find a job. I can relate to this video so much right now, I'm feeling really empty and anxious.

just turned 20 last month and this is exactly how i’ve been feeling lately… recently got in a car accident and lost my very first vehicle which i got a few months ago. now i feel as if i’ve got nothing going for me, and friends have gotten busy with their lives so it’s like i’ve got no one either. very frustrated with life, and constantly pondering my purpose. it is causing me to spiral into so much depression especially when i see others moving forward with their lives. i also have been feeling so much regret for how careless i was in my teens. if i had cared more about my life/future back then maybe i’d have some sense of direction by now. just feel very stuck lately
@AlexGoldie
@AlexGoldie Жыл бұрын
Hey Daisy, I know you feel very alone but the majority in your age group feel the same. The school system doesn’t help this because it forces you to become a worker bee instead of inspiring passions. It took me till 31 to find my purpose, it’s not a race, you might find yours soon or when you’re 40, everyone’s time line is different. In the mean time use your 20’s to experiment and make mistakes, don’t be afraid to. Follow interests and hobbies and see where they take you. As for friends, some get less busy, some stay busy, some friends go and new ones appear. The only thing we can be certain of is change, let it happen.

Here's some encouragement from a 72 year old. I had a quarter life crisis and my sense is that throughout history, when one slams into adulthood, it is always painful. My lived experience is that these crises don't stop at 25. Being lucky to live long enough means you will have a few of them. The good news is that you will learn for yourself that you have the strength and skills you need to get to the other side, and there could end up being more beauty and joy there. Healing from a crisis, any kind of crisis, can leave you stronger and more resilient. Good luck from Granny Ronna!

I’ve felt a mix of optimism and rock bottom all in one year. I quit my full time job two weeks ago because I got fed up with not having control over my own schedule and dealing with shitty people on a regular basis. I can’t stand society anymore especially seeing degeneracy and injustice left and right. I have no friends and the ones that I thought were my friends ended up being snakes and wronging me. I’ve been rejected and led on by several women in one year, quit two different jobs in one month, when I make comments or seek advice from “gurus” on KZfaq their true colors come out and make it obvious that they’re just hustling people. I’ve been bullied, taken advantage of and exploited for so long during my whole life that I can’t help but be jaded and question people. And I struggle to find the purpose in life and anything I do because I struggle to find meaning and contradictory beliefs from all the things I’ve told in my life.

Dude. You dont have a reason. Here are some advices: -Chill. Ur a baby bro. -Try to enjoy things more. -Be kind and a likable person. -Set a series of simple goals and get closer by little steps. -Try to not say no to social experiences. And most importantly: -MAKE A GROUP OF LOUAL FRIENDS TO MAKE GOOD MEMORIES TOGETHER.

Absolutely nothing wrong with you you Chacha our societies are presented in a way that we are almost forced to compare our lives with others. Try and stop that and understand you are exactly where you are meant to be :)

It’s not something to worry about. We have a crisis of purpose in this world because of social media, we think we must be doing something. If there’s something you enjoy then do it but otherwise just enjoy your journey. You’re young and it will make itself clear at some point.
