SPOILERS for Season 5
A character for which I've received several comments to edit!
This character shined in the last two seasons and Eysteinn delivered his character brilliantly on screen! The only Dane who invaded with justifiable intentions - to find a new homeland and peace. Interesting to see that most of what he says later becomes the reasons for his downfall - breaking the truce, don't succumb to anger, dane slayer (Uhtred mercy killing him), all are nice parallels.

I like how they gave Sigtryggr Ivar's iconic blue eyes, his brains & his strong will. Great - grandpa Ivar would definitely be proud of him.

If you watch his interview with The Screen Chronicles podcast, it is hard to believe he played this character! He seems very shy, sweet, soft spoken as opposed to a Viking King. A great actor!

I’m so sad that he died. Edward should have pardoned him as the war was a misunderstanding.

It would have caused discourse as not everyone knew it was a misunderstanding. Wives, sons, brothers and sisters would be wondering why the King pardoned the man who murdered their loved ones and it would eventually lead to rebellion, by punished Sigtrygger, Edward avoided having to massacre Sigtrygger's people under the guise that Sigtrygger as the leader made them march into battle and slaughter those people.

I finally know peace after watching this edit. Thank you for doing my favorite character justice. I personally found his line "I have no children, nor a wife. This is why I'm stronger than you" to be foreshadowing of his downfall. I truly believe listening to the counsel of Stiorra and his brother instead of himself led to his demise.

I think I he would have listened stiorra instead his brother and would have waited a bit more he would have been still alive

He was my favourite character I saw a video of him before watching tlk and I watched mainly to see his character when he was introduced its was exactly how I wanted to see him and his fate was tragic and the writers could've done alot with him
