Exactly how I felt the first time I watched this video! When I listen to Sigur Ros this is essentially what I picture in my head. INCREDIBLE! One of the coolest videos on youtube.

@kgsz keep in mind, youtube was only 1 years old when I uploaded this and this was the only quality they had at the time when I got this video. But yeah, I wish it had better quality though.

@Amoebe98 I'm always blown away by the Icelandic music scene, which Icelanders seem to take for granted. There's only 320,000 people in the whole country. There's no way there should be so much musical talent. And it's always so cheap. The last two concerts I went to: ~$8 USD for Sudden Weather Change, Heavy Experience, Mammút, & MUCK; and ~$20 USD to a kids' charity for Valdimar, Jónas Sigurðsson, Jón Jónsson, Móses Hightower, & many others.

Yes, this is the song Olsen Olsen off their Agætis Byrjun album. And this was a surprise concert right outside of their studio and, no they aren't the first to play this kind of music but they are one of the few and not to mention get as much praise here in America as they have in a country filled with Hip-Hop, Rock, and pop enthusiasts. This band is a breath of fresh air in all the mainstream music coming from every angle these days. I LOVE these guys.

Not just your country mate. It's most of the bands/people in the world. There's very few bands that can actually keep it real. Sigur Rós is one of them. Don't curse your country. I am not Dutch, but I'd say your country is pretty darn awesome.

this is filmed in a small community called Alafoss. It's right outside of Reykjavik's city limits. I've been there. I also got to visit the person that taped this video, they were extra cool. She lived right beside the studio.

It's right outside their studio in Rekjavik, and according to an earlier comment they just decided to go outside and play since the weather was so nice that day.

Yes it was actually. This was taken from their website to promote the Agaetis Byrjun album from a couple of years ago. I believe it was their first somewhat mainstream release. It's their best album by far in my opinion.

@dianna2911 Yeah they use certain syllables which suit certain parts of the song which sort of weave into words. Doesn't mean anything though, Sigur Rós like to think you can make up your own meaning and interpret your own meaning, which I think is nice. On their album () (untitled) they have a notebook to fill in what you think the "Vonlenska/Hopelandic" lyrics mean :)
