Im a Taekwondo practitioner here in Philippines and i just heard about Sikaran ang its ties or similarities with Taekwondo... i do want to learn more and try Sikaran as a Filipino

Sikaran has been with the Filipinos since the 16th century, while TKD was developed in the 1940's.

Sikaran is the original Filipino Martial Art, YEEEES!!!, I love Sikaran!!! Hindi ako mahilig sa mga imported Martial Arts, sana magpa schedule naman kayo dyan ng Open Tournament pra makapaglaro naman ako, MABUHAY ANG SIKARAN!!!

During my times in the early 70s there was no mat. Practitioners of these art are mostly poor people and they can’t afford to learn martial arts in gyms with mats and protective armor or even gloves. Sikaran is a poor man’s martial art in the Philippines.

No, Sikaran is original and is also an old practice in the Southern Philippines. All humans have feet, so it doesn't mean that taekwondo is the only martial art that focuses on that, it was only popularized from the movies.
