You can get next to the fence and record by holding your camera high.

In my opinion from serving this is the best Coast Guard station in the USA.

Thank you Ed, we've had an amazing day in San Diego and we were able to capture the landing from the USS Midway which was a really unique experience! We then stayed at the base for the afternoon and managed to catch the takeoff! Spectacular machine.

Thanks buddy! Definitely go and check out the Coast Guard base, they've got a fence around but you can still get pretty close! Oh, and don't miss out on the USS Midway, great experience! I hope you'll be able to capture a lot of footage mate!
