In this film review, Emma tells us all about classic emulsion- Kodak vision 3 film, that has been transformed by the brilliant and creative people at Silbersalz into 35mm still picture film!
Their 35mm film is made from kodak Vision3 colour negative film, which is known as the most technically advanced colour reproduction technology devised to this day. It is also a super sharp film, with ultra low granularity (grain) and outstanding sharpness- perfect for Hollywood blockbusters.
250D film is a daylight-balanced colour negative film, perfect for capturing vibrant moments. Unlike other colour films, vision 3 films require ecn2 processing as opposed to c41 due to its remjet layer. This enables the film to capture even the most extreme lighting conditions, making it perfect for shooting movies and easy to expose.

Hello! Nope this is just for the purpose of the video to make it fit better. But we do offer 'Border Scans' for 120 film or 'Sprocket Scans' for 35mm. Otherwise, images will be scanned as normal with no border.

Unfortunately Vision3 is unsuitable for RA-4 printing. This leaves me out.

It wasn't intended for RA-4 printing but it seems to work fine either after C41 (with a washing soda rinse at the beginning) or ECN2 processing - just a slight difference in contrast.

So let me try to understand this... all these films cut from a reel of Kodak Vision 3 differ from each other how exactly? Why is this film any different to (say) something like Cinestill?

Cinestill remove the remjet so it can be developed in C-41, this still has the remjet and therefore has to be developed in ECN-2

OK but not all 35mm filmstock cut from a roll of Vision 3 are going to have the Remjet removed, so again, what's the difference?

Cinestill are too overpriced for just a Kodak Vision 3 with no remjet layer.
