It is an experience, therefore it is not the Self. It is another state of mind and not to be trusted or cherished. Drugs like these only emphasize the mind which is not the way to stillness. It is a pointer in the wrong direction.

There is absolutely no need to disassociate from material life. Most important thing to practice is the understanding that "prakrti kriyamanani gunaih karmani sarvashah" that actually all the work is being done by the modes of material nature and one who clearly understands that the self, which is the real us, does not do anything - "yah pashyati tatha atmanam akartaram sa pashyati" - BG 3.30 - asitis.com/13/30.html - can continue to engage in all the activities with that knowledge and experience.

Follow your heart. The important thing is to not b be attached to your life, fot it is temporary, a loan from God. But yes! Express YOUR SELF! Why else would the universal Self allow each of us to be created with an independent mind? You are and have always been Your Self.... And this is The Self! You are Self Shining! Does it make sense that, if you put sincere attention into realizing your true nature as Self, then what you then do will emanate as exactly was it spontaneously appropriate for you to accomplish or not accomplish in a given situation? You go from premeditated ideas and goals based on memory and anticipation into the spontaneous and immediate being where experience is simultaneous with All. Perhaps the total functioning of dynamic being is far more flexible, wise and exact than is obvious at first? Making the realization of who you really the number one and primary point of your practice is essential, in this case.

shbitz : I don't think that Ramana or any great spiritual soul has ever said that one must disassociate from society in order to awaken. Spirituality is an inner seeking. As for outer life, that will be an individual matter according to one's personal dharma. Whatever that is, one's spiritual journey goes along with that....it is not a separate matter. Put your mind and heart with the Divine whatever you do, wherever you are. There is no contradiction in that.

The Key is words are used for Mind Control and the letters forming words, forming sentences are simply unreal, all thought Form. Take away the words and nothing exists but the Great Void of unmanifest thought. Go Prior To The Great Void and TAO/Absolute IS, the unknown. Prior to TAO/Absolute is the All Knowing that Knows its Self and the Knowing/Unknowing unreality and the Unknown/Known Reality composes the Whole which is the One Substance Simultaneous, wherein no Time/space exists except in the unreal, where no thoughts unmanifest exist except in the Great Void which is unreal. The unknown TAO/Absolute is Reality as is the All Knowing/Known that knows its Self is The One Substance Simultaneous Nothing else exists,. Thought/Mind, Time/Space, Form, Numbers, Names, exist not, are unreal yet all is made of One Substance Simultaneous.

Look at "I" only as"I".There are no others.Others exist only because of discrimination, differentiation, division, duality which arises because of perceiving body as "I".When one perceives one's body as "I" the differentiation discrimination duality begins. When "I" perceive body as"I in the wakeful state discrimination begins taking body as" I " and everything(?) else as not "I".All thought and talk- speech takes place only because of this differentiation and discrimination. When "I" realises this and that "I" can only be "I" and the existence of only "I" only SILENCE remains.

Before thought only SILENCE.Before Speech only SILENCE.Between thought and thought only SILENCE.Between speech and speech only SILENCE. Look at the inseparable indescribable relationship of "I" to that SILENCE BEING CONSCIOUSNESS REALITY.What form does the thought "i" have? Remove the thought "i" and see? What form does sound "i" have? Remove the sound "i" and see? Did the body get the thought or make the sound?

Looking at"I" only as "I" leads to EQUANIMITY in SILENCE and CONSCIOUS AWARENESS without any thought and speech.
