Hezbollah is purportedly using the Iranian Shahed-101 drone in confrontations with Israel in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah used the Iranian Shahed 101 drone furnished with an electric motor for the first time since the conflict began in October 7, as per Israel’s Kan broadcaster. Hezbollah’s use of the Iranian drone, a highly-maneuverable aircraft that is difficult to detect, has reportedly left the Israeli army concerned. These drones reportedly have a range of "up to 19 kilometres and they can carry explosives weighing up to 10 kilograms”. Meanwhile, a 2021 report by the Israeli ALMA Research Center indicated that the Iran-backed Hezbollah possesses around 2,000 drones.
