I think people are being extremely over critical of it. Despite Bloobers history, I think with the blueprint on how 2 was theyre going to create a decent remake. People have this outlook that remakes are going to make them feel the same way as when they first played it, but its not the original. Basically we could scrutinize every detail we know is different from the original or just play the damn thing lol Either way, Im excited af. ❤ Im glad you touched on this!

Oh yeah, I'm not going to pretend to be the biggest fan of Bloober, but it seems like they understand the assignment from what I've seen. We just gotta accept that it's going to be a completely different game

I've never played the original one in ps2 but everyone loved it. But I am going to give this one a shot and see what happens.

Visually it looks beautiful, they completely nailed the atmosphere. The problem is that they are using kid gloves to tell a dark story that's meant for adults. They are "toning down" the sXu4l elements of a game that heavily deals with sXu4l themes. They are taking a masterpiece and nerfing the fk out of it. 🥱 Making Maria's design lamer is just the surface level of it, they are altering scenes by making them less "controversial."

this is just the internet's own take on the subject -- none of us have played it and you have no idea what theyre toning down or ramping up. none of us do. nerds on the internet are suggesting things about the direction of the game based on short clips and the longform clips they have shown off actually look pretty alright -- I think its going to go down as being really impressive but its going to disappoint those of us who grew up with the original. I intend to give it an honest shot and let it live as its own thing apart from the original. The original game isnt going anywhere after all.

@@mvrk4044 Sorry, but the "short clips" they've shown are more than enough to confirm the conclusions that I made. - they showed Maria - they showed Angela - they showed that they got rid of the "wall penetration" from the Abstract Daddy scene - they showed that the Pyramid Head "grape" scene is no longer going to be explicit And of course, they confirmed that they hired Hit Detection, which specifically specializes in catering to m0drn sens!t!vi!es.
