The best Silent Hill not made by Team Silent

I like the drama type direction that this Silent Hill took. As lonely as the music can make you feel, the plot did the opposite.Everything about the plot and structure felt so human and the story flowed nicely and effortlessly. Such an emotional story, made me really sad at the end. Times when I felt nervous too. The nightmare sequences filled me with adrenaline and anxiety. Even made me laugh a couple of times, particularly the scene after the Balkan club when you're conversing with Dahlia while driving in the SUV. This game was an emotional rollercoaster, and as much as it's lightyears away from the other SH games, it's a very good game.

This cover is absolutely phenomenal, so powerful and eerie, truly transforming a song that is already a desperate plea to a lost love into something so sinister and moody. Also, this truly sounds like Portishead covering the song, reminds me of the ABBA cover of “SOS” they released. Such a perfect song that I return to all the time, thank you Silent Hill for giving us such a rich amazing soundtrack 🖤

This song has been covered countless times, and it never gets old. I love how Yamaoka adds his atmosphere and excellent programming to it.

This is about the third hour I have had this song on repeat and I keep thinking this song is about James and Mary, then I remember its Harry and Heather/Cheryl....

This song has such a "Lost-Pain" vibrance. Amazing and melancholic, even knowing that the original song has been singed by Gwen Mcrae or Elvis Presley with a happy mood before.

This and Willie Nelson's cover are the best I've heard. Nelson makes you feel sad. McGlynn makes you feel kinda twisted. Love it.

It's spooky. It has a similar aura as "Gloomy Sunday." It lacks the raw, whiskey-saturated, regretable longing that Willie's has, though. I love AY's artistry, undeniably. That's just my preference.

... I still think remakes/ reimaginings/ whatever of the other silent hills should now follow SM. I don't have a PS2 and my intro to SH was shattered memories, but I hear SH2 and 3 are damn good. Wiimakes (or Wiimaginings (lol) ) of those, if done by Climax again, would undoubtedly be amazing. Combat or no, they would be sick.
