I’ve found that these little gunboats usually don’t have much if anything for aft armament. A fun attack is to maneuver dead aft and then do a close range high speed surface gun run. You can usually detonate their depth charges in just a few hits and put them under before they know what happens.

Red pill = S Boat Blue pill = Mk 14 and BuOrd's nonsense. Tough call, man.

This is honestly the best part of Friday. Spain vs Switzerland is on but I'd rather watch this as I'm way more emotionally invested in Wolfie's sub antics. :D

I really wish there were more subsims. I'd really love to see someone re-do SH5 in a modern engine, with more features, more boats, better interiors, better crew management. UBOAT is close, but its a little far from a true sim to really come close to being as great as the SH series. It'd be even more amazing if there were a bit of an online portion where you could randomly run into engagement zones where players could take over destroyers or something, if you enabled "online play"

Love the dingy with a civil war era looking cannon mounted on deck. Looks more like an angry fisherman than a warship.

This is a really interesting series. Not a well covered campaign (meaning the Alaskan theater), and you just don't see a lot of American sub campaigns in the ww2 era.

The intro was excellent. Seeing the plotted course is a nice touch. Here's a thought, can you add some sort of subtle effect to your voice when you're narrating? It will differentiate it from when you're doing commentary.

I have this game in the CD version and haven't played it quite a few years. Yours however looks much better than I remember. Is your Silent Hunter 4 a new download version or updated version of the old. Again, great video. Is there any chance of a fleet boat campaign in the future? Perhaps this boat's captain will get promoted to command a fleet boat, if he is successful with the S-33[he seems to be doing well, by historical standards, even if the escorts he's killing aren't very large.]

You have to treat it more like a sniper shot once you fire start moving that gives you at least a minute and 15 second Head Start

I also like this stile, but worry you' ll burn down. I can't even imagine how many times you' ll need to save/load to get a good camera angle. Btw, no need to shun 10 tons. Imagine that on your foot. 10 tons can be quite a lot!

Even if they look like armed tugboats the CH 28 class is a purpose built sub-chaser, even if a horrible one, you could probably just gun duel them, their main gun is pretty puny

better fire before the vessel becomes a heading of 90°. In 90° the vessel is in the cpa, the closest point of approach. After that point, the vessel is leaving. Never, ever fire on leaving vessels. Fire only on incoming vessels
