My theory on the last incident is that the commandos were carrying a bomb in their boat, for their mission, and something happened to set it off prematurely (faulty detonator). So the submarine's insertion mission was a success - the commandos were put in their boat - but the commando's mission was obviously a complete failure. Not your fault.

5th time asking, Taff put some crew on that deck gun on the management page....your reload rate is like a Battleship right now....for a 3 inch rapid fire gun 🔫 Collier are coal carrying ships....USS Cyclops that went missing in 1919 was one of these types of ships. The reason why the Dinghy went up in flames is because of you firing the deck gun earlier through a wave with fire 🔥 on the port side when sinking that Freighter...port side where u launched the Dinghy

I think the commando dingy has the lowest health in the game while also carrying alot of explosives. Its the storm that caused them to blow up, but I'd say its a bug more than anything.

Excellent episode taff, deploying commandos on raids.. priceless moments indeed, my brother in law has had those a few times himself in his own campaigns, love that they are included in the game... it's a honour to the real events that actually did happen in real life, I've read so many cases about them. More Enemy tonnage sent to the seabed, and the enemy merchant fleet loses more transports, this will seriously hurt the IJN and IJA war efforts. Fantastic episode to a fantastic series, well done mate and happy hunting ahead 👍

04:15 - A Mikura class kaibokan, operating off Java in late July 1942, when the class didn't even enter service until the very end of OCTOBER 1943. So nice to see the game using ships in their historical time frames...🤦‍♂

Fun video. I think the method is: the distance that your "target" travels in yards over 2 minutes and 58 seconds divided by 100 is roughly the speed in knots. So if your "target" moves 1400 yards in 2:58, its speed is about 14 knots. That was some weirdness with the commandos. A glitch/bug? Good hunting in the future.

Taff, you may find your torpedoes are more effective if you set them to run deeper. The identification manual will tell you the keel depth for each ship type, if you set the torpedo to run close to that depth (or a few feet below it, if you're using the magnetic influence detonators), you'll get more flooding on each hit.

A well known problem with the Mk 14 is running much deeper than set. Usual practice during the war was to set them shallow.

For as hard as captain O'Hare has worked in the past to plot each attack and diligently set up the enemy vessels, it feels justified 28:00 for the AI to let one go your way now and again.

How close to the insertion time was that ship blown in half ? I believe the orders were to not do anything 12 hours either side of insertion to signal a submarine is operating in the area. They may have been in wait if that ship kill alerted them ? OR maybe they were just cold and someone lit a fire which went horribly wrong lol.
