My great grandfather and his brother fought against the Japanese in Papua New Guinea he was a plane mechanic, but his brother was a rifleman. Sadly, his brother was killed in action in Kokoda

My grandfather fought in the Pacific with the British army and was captured by the Japanese. My grandmother never forgave the Japanese for how they treated him and was adamant he was amongst those forced to work on the bridge at kwai. My step grandfather was in Africa, Dunkirk and Normandy as part of the Royal military police. I never sadly knew my grandfather as he suffered badly with his health and died at only 59.

I've done it numerous times in Japanese ports. It's a nightmare, but well worth it. If you hit one of the major ports there's always a battleship or carrier at anchor, sometimes both. Have yet to catch a Yamato, though.

Ah the USS Plunger, my first sub in SH4, on the first patrol we got up to some mischief near the home islands. I.E. commuted a war crime the first chance we got and sent a large unescorted Passenger Ship, then we raided a port that we were supposed to take pictures of, we did that… after we blew everything up.

I really hope the people who did U-Boat do an Allied sub game. I like U-Boat but I prefer playing as the good guys. Shame this game is so unstable now it was my favorite silent hunter.

If you want to factor in your previous 'life', your tonnage total was 96,845 tons counting the patrol started in Episode 4.

Great episode taff, great start with a brand new sub.. Good to see the Mk.14s functioned on your first attacks, fate must have been smiling on you. The enemy is going to be terrorised once again and have vast tonnage sent to the seabed and the IJN will be facing nightmares. Great start, great start to the tally of USS Plunger. Enemy aircraft mean business out here so be on your toes. Excellent episode mate, looking forward to the next episode. Well done mate 👏 👍

Your videos made me buy the game and yesterday when I've played it for the first time i got a mission in which I needed to send an agent on the shore between two japanese harbors and after I've completed the mission and was on my way out I met a japanese task force consisting of 5 aircraft carriers, I was completely flabergasted XD. Anyways, nice video and keep up the good work.

Good episode. But the music in the background was distracting, and a bit immersion breaking, so perhaps drop that for the next episode.

Actually, it should have 2 of them. One mounted on the "cigarette deck" on the aft end of the conning tower, and one on a mount on the main deck forward

Actually it’s a game itself that had reseted the tonnage because it didn’t really matter if you get different subs regardless in new game saves because I was able to keep the gamesave. If you get new sub it doesn’t reset the tonnage bar because skipper means commander.

Are streamers capable of running sims without having to use the easiest of modes? Map icons are cringe.

Look real subs werent operated by 1 men, it had navigators,watchers etc ,they tracked the target and the captain gave the orders, in sh games you have to operate many things ,maybe the sonar lines and the pin point accurate ship icons not as historical ,but if there are mods which make it harder for these indicators to give less information would be good
