These switches sound great, just got my first keyboard and I'm finding Linears such a pain as my old gaming keyboard had tactile keys (membrane keyboard) so I'm used to resting my fingers on the keys and I keep accidently typing. These seem like a reasonable price and also the quiet factor is lovely./

Honestly I like these- too many 'silent' tactiles end up sounding mushy, or even high pitched and scratchy, instead of leaning into the deep thocky sound which compliments it better. Do you have any recommendations for quieter thocky switches? I'd like tactile but I don't mind linear- right now I'm mostly leaning towards these Silent Tactiles or the Akko Jelly Blacks.

Jelly blacks are a solid choice if ever! For Silent Switches Gecko Switches are nice, i will be trying out the silent switches of akko next year.

Do you have recommendations for switches that sound similar to rubber domes (that are not other rubber domes haha). The gecko sounded quite close but still had a bit of high pitch to it.

Hmm I can say the ws silent are close if you lube them but in terms of like smoothness feel geckos are the way to go. Also thank you for checking out my video i appreciate it!

Would you recommend lubing these switches or adding some key film?
@Rx003
@Rx003 8 ай бұрын
For me, silent switches are good as is but if you want it to sound more muted adding some light lube should be fine but filming not needed. Thank you for watching my review and sorry for the delayed response!

i cant really call the silent tactile silent, because i can obviously hear the impact sound of the stem and the top housing of the switch

Yes thats what ive notice with some silent tactiles specially the topping and bottoming out.

@@Rx003 i think i depend on how the brand design the switch, i would call this "ws silent" switch "sound reduce" switch, cause compare to silent switches that use silicon to make it silent, i can still get the feel of typing with the "ws silent" switches, and the tactile force of the "ws slient tactile" switch is really really good to the point that i can feel it clearly (compare to outemu silent tactile swich series that the tactile is basically non-existed), that's a plus, the sound reduce is good enough, so i think i'll chose this over slient switches with silicon

@@Rx003 but there is still one things that bug me, i've got my own ws silent tactile switches and equip it to my keyboard, but when i type test i notice one thing, the stabilizer sound of my keyboard is still loud and clear, compare to some youtubers(including you) who upload the sound test of this switch, it's silent(not literally silent but the sound is too small) as hell, it make me wonder what did they do to make that stabilizer that silent, or is it their micro that doesn't catch the stabilizer sound? i'm not so sure

Are silent switches also good for gaming?
@combinemanPL
@combinemanPL Жыл бұрын
Any switch is good for gaming as long as it fits you. Usually people prefer lighter actuation switches for gaming specifically though. But! You can have a light actuation tactile, linear or clicky. Or you might have heavy hands and prefer something on the heavier side. Best to test, and find out what fits you best for these long gaming sessions.

And yeah, silent switches are pretty much identical to 'normal' switches, they just have some dampening tech in it to minimize the noise.

Thanks for the help @combinemanPL! Appreciate it! But yeah for me personally I change my "wasd" keys with lighter actuation switches when gaming but for fps games specifically i use tactile so i can really feel the actuation since it uses faster reaction time!

@@combinemanPL thank you, used to have blue switches and I love that for gaming. I play LoL btw, so these blue switches helps me determine that I have pressed the keys. But blue switcjes always wakes up the ither people in this house. I now rock akko silvers, jelly blacks and cream yellows v3

@@karltheintern6531 Not sure if you have gotten any switches yet, but if you're looking for a silent tactile switch, the silent bluish whites from ttc are pretty good feedback wise, imo.
