Interesting ...i hope your also looking at the work going on at Sharrow props USA, and in Italy at Deepspeed with their development of their submerged rim motor driven water jet pods. Things are finally looking exciting with at least two large manufacturers of cells launching Na ion cells ....a lot cheaper and a lot more environmentally friendly and abundant than Lithium. They also have many technical advantages over Lithium. 👍🏼😎💙🧙‍♂️

indeed these new type of props are much more economical. And even more silent. They wil have to change the name frome silent to ninja yachts. LOL

@@channelvr1293 Check out the deep speed rim driven electric jet pods ... The performance seems to exceed props and waterjets especially at higher speeds. They also remove the propulsion motor from within the boat and Simplifying cooling by transfer to the water direct . They can also be mounted on a raisable stern mounted arm . On a sailing cat this could work like an outboard drive of drop down from within a enclosed immersed compartment to avoid drag when not in use.

Just curious if you know the answer to this... Are the Silent Yachts equipped with the relatively new Auto Pilot Virtual Anchor technology? If so, how much power does it take to hold a position? For example would it be possible or practical to go into a bay and instead of dropping anchor or mooring to an anchor buoy, just set the virtual anchor and run that off solar (and batteries at night) 24/7?
