Beautiful work! Did you design and cut the figures yourself? If so, how did you get them so perfectly shaped?

The jumping frames bothers the eye while watching. I am assuming you are using a tripod structure to take the images with your camera; however, the jumping frames suggest you are using the shutter button on the camera, causing you to inadvertently bump the camera. A solution to this is get a shutter release extension cable (inexpensive and easily available online and in stores). It allows you to capture the photo while omitting the excessive touching of the camera. The changing scene could transition sharper in some spots ( the fading tradition lasting a little too long on some) . And the scene with the young girl has a (dark line) flower behind her that disconnects, from the ground, moves position dramatically, and disappears from a frame (est. 1.28). Also the edge of the house in the scene with the girl disrupts the believably of your story realm because of it being displaced, or cut too short to fill to the edge of the screen. This is easily fixed in After Effects with a masking, or any other quick fix solution. NOW TO PRAISE: I really liked your ability of story telling, the clean lines of the figures and the leading of scenes through the device of a small object: it creates an easy line for the eye to follow. I also really enjoy the juxtaposition of the muted, controlled palette against the great crafting of the detailed figures. Bravo.

The artist most likely used a Light Table as the background and shot it in a dim light setting.
