Silhouette Paint - Quick Start

Silhouette Paint is the industry's first paint and tracking plug-in that brings best-of-breed, 32-bit, high dynamic range paint tools to editing and effects applications. Artists can now access Silhouette’s professional sequence-based paint tools inside their host of choice including Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, Foundry’s NUKE, Blackmagic Resolve, Autodesk Flame, and more.

Seems like a very useful project. We would mainly use this for cleaning up wildlife material. We have a few 8k videos from Red that have houses in the distance or fences with wires that we would like to remove.

I am using Silohuette paint inside Silohuette.. I can not figure out how to get the silohuette paint node in silohuette to recognize all of the masks I made in Silohuette paint since it opens a separate window. In the silohuette paint node its just the clean backplate showing with no masks showing! This is driving me crazy!

You are using Silhouette's built-in Paint node and not the plug-in, right? Have you connected the Shapes from the roto node to the Paint node? It is the yellow to yellow connection.

@@BorisFXco I have been using this for about a week. And just so happened to see the "silohuette paint" node (not the singular PAINT node) under the OFX section of nodes. it connected easily to the footage and the interface asks to open the actual paint application. It appears to look like it would work the same way if you had launched it from AE or NUKE. I started using the tools and tracker..trying to make some mattes.. anyway this work in this S - Paint APP would never show up in the main application. Even though the interface asks which source alpha you want to use. If this isn't functional why is it even available to connect to the other nodes in the tree in the first place. Or even something you can drag into the tree window.. This is really a software design FAILURE. Most software has interface testing of all scenarios and appropriately greys out options to guide users as to what they can do at any given moment. the worst part is you can't render from this app. The main app already has the code to make a render... why cant it just be added to this separate S-PAINT APP? At least I could just render out all the work I already have done. Now I have to start over! ugh.
