Peggy Holds a degree in Fashion Design and Fashion Merchandising from Brigham Young University. As a mother to four sons, Peggy spends her time divided between teaching and creating new patterns for Silhouette Patterns, a line of contemporary patterns available to the home sewer. During her career she has taught college courses in pattern drafting and design. She professionally drafts patterns for individuals and manufacturers all across the country ranging from golf apparel to black tie performances. In addition to apparel designs, Peggy has designed the patterns of the costumes worn by the Mens Olympic Figure Skating Gold Medalist, Elvis Stojko.

Hi Peggy! You're right about how great it is when meeting with other sewers! I wondered if you would honour our UK Facebook site called Sewing in the Uk with a Hello? I joined about 2.5 months ago when we had 8000 members, it is now over 10,000 and a mixed bunch of total newbies and experienced sewists. Everyone who has joined has joined stating what a very friendly and informative group we are! You might have to request to join but think of all those thousands of new subscribers you could reach!! Please mention that I requested you do this for us and that I watch your vlogs! I hope you read this and honour our site in the UK 😍👍❤️

Terrific changeups. You outdid yourself, Peggy! Looking forward to the jackets coming in 2 weeks. Jackets are what I usually sew because I am so particular about them.

Love the Ann Hathaway pink dress example you use about the bust darts. The press went wow over the , yes it was Prada, dress. Funny how we as sewers look at garments on a different level. You were drawn to to nipple exposing dart & I was drawn to the machine sewn hem! It makes me think of Primark not Prada! Not sure you would see that on a garment from Chanel & certainly not Silouette!!! :)

I forgot to mention my thoughts on what you were talking about the ratios of sizing in tall versus short & that essentially were are all the same. It is so true. I like to draw & paint & the first thing you learn when drawing is how the body is mapped out. The Eyes are at a certain point on the head as is the nose etc etc. The body is the same. The points are all similar but may have a difference of only 1/2 an inch & never more. If it were more when you added up those changes on a body for the points overall it would make for a giant person or very small person.Those extremes can happen but only within syndromes that are such , an extreme like giantism or dwarfism. That is very rare.

From the base of my neck to the center/ apex of my bust is 10" fully clothed however I am 5"2 100lbs.

Hi Frances Giacobbe. I hope this does not sound cheeky but it's driving me mad with curiosity. I have researched this to no avail and so I must ask - why you have repeated Sueellen Blubaug's name in this comment section? I've noticed other people doing the same (just repeating a commentors name) but no-one seems to know why. Thanks.
