'Girls Wild Hair'
Acrylic Swipe Pour Painting that resulted in wild abstract kind of hair for this girls wild hair.
In the end, I had to do a lot of hand painted touches.

My fluid painting recipe:
1 part paint, 2 part floetrol, 1/2 part water (all varies based on type of paint)
Spread in layers with silicone then swiped
High contrast, abstract wild hair - that I love!

Hi Heather, I am sooooo glad I found your page. I just saw someone do this using a Cricket for the first time. So of course I'm thinking "ok so now I need a Cricket".....you just saved me lots of money.Thank you for posting. Love your work

Yes. So happy you found me. I think cricket is only a neccessary for stencils used all of the time. You can just turn flip the image in word then trace. Good luck!

Did you paint white for her face? I understand the black. But wondering about the white around her face. Did you pre paint the canvas white first? Then the black after it dried? I really want to create this.

Hi Nelci, just a touch of silicone lubricant. Literally a tiny drop will be enough for a pint of paint. Just mix it into your swipe color, or one paint. Goodluck!

Hey, it's not a stencil. In the video I show the silhouette I used and got off of pixabay and traced the outline. Hope that helps.

Hi How long will your paint last mixed in those squeeze bottles

I go through them fairly fast. But I have left some in one a couple of months. Any more and they will go rancid and you will know for sure the smell. I have switched to slightly smaller size. But mix white in bulk in that size. Hope that helps!

You can try glue all. I have never used it so I don't know what the ratio is, but I hear it's comparable. Good luck!!

Sure Roxanne, so it's not technically a stencil. It's a silhouette. You can find many on creative commons type photo sites. Try Pixabay. It's my go-to.

What was it you painted on in a clear or white before pouring?

Just white paint.

I like the first one better I think the only reason it got a little muddy was because you got too anxious you kept going over it with the putty knife too quickly and not waiting for it to come through just my opinion if it means anything. But really good thanks for sharing at all

Sue, again thanks for your input. I have to chuckle alittle when you said I went over too quickly. 😂 My videos are sometimes speed up as much as 20 times because I create so slowly. I'll keep that in mind, however, I stand by my rose gold theory. 😘

Black canvas, for a white face? Maybe, but I dont think so. If you've ever bought canvases you would know the black ones are much more expensive and they are just painted black. You can get plain canvases or primed. Save yourself money and just paint it black when you paint black.
